I have had this game for about a month and it seems to work great. I really like the game it's very good and I only wish I didn't have to pay for the other episodes. It does seem like the m18 hellcats are extra wimpy and the panthers are super tough sometimes. I guess I don't know enought about their actual Characteristics to make an informed call about that. Otherwise a great strategy game! It reminds me a lot of panzer general which I wore out in bahgdad several years back!

Glad you are enjoying the game! Hellcats and Panthers are a great example of units where you have to play to their strengths (and weaknesses!) - Hellcats are very quick and get a lot of movement APs, while Panthers are very tough from the front, but pretty easy kills from the rear or side.

Battle Academy is an excellent game by any standard - and well beyond anything else I am interested in playing on the iPad. It is challenging, and addictive. It plays as well on the iPad as any PC wargame I have played in the past - anytime, anyplace you can take an iPad.

Just one plea - I really want to swap my old iPad for a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. (as an old Palm user, I love the stylus input and extra functionality), so please, please, please make an Android version.

Often tanks maneuvered simultaneously. In this game you can only move one at a time and the enemy engages them one at a time. If you could move multiple tanks simultaneously then the enemy could engage one and the others could engage the enemy. The inability of this tactical maneuver reduces the realism. Is it possible to develop this capability?

Not really as it would then be an RTS and a completely different game.

Another vote for Android versions optimized for tablet play and Xbox versions. PC is going away as far as for me. Too expensive to keep upgrading and for mobile forget it. Been buying every turn based I can find for both but there's jot a lot out there.

We actually model this kind of engagement in pretty much that way - units can only react a certain number of times in a turn. If you are attacking a unit with a group of units, then after it has exhausted its shots (generally a maximum of 3 if it has not fired in its turn) then your surviving units can move in and attack with impunity. Overwhelming powerful units in this way is a core element of the gameplay (especially when fighting the German big-cat armour).

If I could be added to this list of reviews I give Battle Academy a great score of 4.9 out if 5! Gameplay is original and simple. The game is very challenging so you never think its to easy and the multiplayer is great. Extra point for PBEM system. The only thing that doesn't give BA the 5 is some unrealistic factors such as infinite ammunition when you fire at a tank from behind it has time to shoot back same for assault guns like Stugs and Archers. But overall This game is worth the 20$ and hey DLC's are 5$ off  can't wait for BA 2 though. Thank you Slitherine for bringing one of the only few App Store Games that deserve the title of Great Strategy Game. You can expect my money for any and all BA games and expansions.

Thank you for this great game! Slitherine is the best wargame developer! One little thing - it's not very comfortable on iPad to select another unit in deployment mode, instead of selecting unit I replace it with previously selected (may be you do something with it in BA2).

I'll take a look. I'm guessing that perhaps you are double tapping a little too slowly and the order is popping up underneath your finger?

I think you are right, but anyway it happens very often. May be order icon need move a little right/left or up/down.

Games on both platforms. Really!

I hope you don't believe that your two titles currently offered at the Google Play Store (bad store by your description) are barn burners that people are tripping over to buy. Ahh piracy....I assume you recently had lunch with Angus Young.

I really have no idea what you are trying to say. The bottom line is we need to put our limited resources where they will do the most good, and Android (much as we love it) puts enough obstacles in our way to make it much harder to justify. That's really all there is to the decision.

Cheers
