1st rout move

Hello,

unit 1 is in melee to its front.
unit 1 is charged on its flank and breaks.
how does it do its first break move?

1.- it moves away from the charging unit in the opposite direction of the charge?
2.- it bisects its rout move between the charger and the unit it is in melee with?

It's 2 - bisects the angle between chargers and the enemy it fought in HTH
