I've had this problem for a long time now...when I first bought BA I received PBEM notifications for a few weeks on my Microsoft email address. They then stopped permanently. I recently also changed my registered email to a different email provider, and still no emails...
It would be just nice to have them as I have to log in to see my turns! I also suspect it's the reason that there are a lot of abandoned games about. (E.G. players who set an open challenge - I accept immediately and then they never take a single turn!!) I can't imagine this is only affecting me.
Also, I can't change my account settings. I click 'edit info' and it returns me to the page 'choose site to log in to' every time.

The PBEM++ notifications for djddalton were turned off. I turned them on now.
For editing the info you are redirected to the Slitherine Login System page. You need to login using your account details.
Next, click on Hello djddalton! and you'll be presented with a page where you can change your profile details.
You can also contact us at support[at]slitherine.co.uk, and we can change the details for you.

I see it now. The settings are very limited - I cannot even change my email address back to my old one as "it's already registered"

If you want to change the email address you can do it, unless you have it registered in a another account. You can only have one email address per account.
On that case, it's better , to contact us.

How would I turn PBEM on/off?
The problem was email was that I was trying to change my email back to my old one (I had just changed it over from that one anyway)
