[BUG] Load Supplies Confusion

UPDATED: Found a bug with the Supply Hotkey ('S'). When you use the 's' hotkey and the unit is in a base it always asks you to select a firebase or main base but none are clickable. When you use the Supply button in-game it supply works fine. Hotkey is broken.


Not really getting the Load Supplies command. Sometimes I select load supplies, the prompts says for me to select HQ or FB, but it shows me Infantry options. Other times I select Load Supplies, it prompts the same thing but literally NOTHING on the entire map is clickable. What am I missing here?

EDIT: Just noticed that sometimes a chinook will show a little supply box on it... not the blue box, the tan crate. No idea what that means either!??? When in this condition it cannot perform unit air lifts, and it cannot seem to resupply anything, this unit is dead to me now. I can move it around but that's it.

It's actually pretty straightforward. Just make sure you're not selected a helicopter that has no movement left. Otherwise, select the helicopter and select the "resupply" option. If it's located at a source of supply, it will then ask you who you want to resupply. Otherwise, I believe it will ask you where you want to pick up the supplies, and then who you want to resupply.

As for the icon under a helicopter, that's showing you the helicopter's current cargo, whether it's infantry, artillery, supply, or ammo. Note that a helicopter carrying supply or ammo can be told to drop its cargo if you want to divert it to another mission for some reason.

Thanks, not so straight forward it seems. I have a huey with full movement available sitting in my HQ. I click the supply button and it is asking me to Select Firebase or Main Base. Nothing I click does anything at all. Same thing happened with a Chinook I had sitting in my firebase. It seems there is a bug here. I did finally manage to get that chinook in my firebase to move some supplies for me but no idea what I did.

Right now I have this huey sitting in my HQ and I cannot for the life of me get it to move supplies to a unit desperately in need.

EDIT: Randomly I just went back and clicked it again and it worked this time, same exact thing I did about 10x just a second ago. Maybe the alt-tabbing to this window reset the bug?

So when I have all these helis with Crates in them, what is that? How do I do anything with it!?!?

Found the bug... the 'S' hotkey always forces the unit to ask which base, when I click the Supply button it works fine.

The process for resupply is select helo with movement points and which has not already performed two action in current turn, select supply icon the select unit to supply. Helo will fly to closer of FB or HQ and head towards unit to be supplied, upon reaching unit it will drop supplies, if the supply mission straddles turns then the helo will move to updated position of unit if it has moved.

Will check the hotkey process, don't use it myself....
