Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
"Exploration is wired into our brains. If we can see the horizon, we want to know what's beyond.” (Buzz Aldrin – US astronaut, member of Apollo 11 mission)
Since the PC release last October, engineers from developer Polar Motion have not been sitting on their hands. A MAC version, community contest, and several updates have transformed the fragile spaceship into a powerful rocket able to reach the stars. But exploration is the driving force of the team and they’ve just set up a booster that will let them land on a brand new platform: the iPad!
All of the elements that seduced PC players have been implemented in this adaptation.
3 types of campaigns including the Race to the Moon between the US and the USSR, a sandbox mode, historical and what-if space programs, and realistic management tools come together for a nerve-racking and inspiring experience as the head of a space agency.
Today iPad owners can also participate in this thrilling yet dangerous adventure. Polar Motion have worked on the controls and the optimization to ensure this platform is perfectly adapted to this space odyssey.

Hello cthulhus,
Sorry to hear you're having issues. Does that happen every time you play as NASA?

Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
I was able to continue by doing a reset of my iPad. Some time, the black screen come back... Reset allow me to continue but it is strange
I have another issue, is that when I try to access to the rocket management program (by touching the folder icon on the bottom, that bring me to the payload management (explorer 1) instead of the rocket programs...
Any way, I can access it from another way.
Except these bugs, I'm very happy to play it on the iPad !

Hello cthulhus,
Glad you could continue your game. If you don't mind, I'll send you a PM to ask you for more info about these issues. We did get some 'black screen' reports in the initial builds during the beta testing phase, but they went away once I changed the compile settings. We didn't get any report about the rocket management screen, so I'm curious about that as well.
Anyway, glad you like the game!

Black screens here too. They come after ending a season. Can't progress at all.
Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
Hi I have had the black screen to every so often but it's not that bad but I have also had the problem with the rocket screen manger you are unable to remove the research had so the game is unpassable when this happened it has happened in the 6-7 games I played and the tutorial. Beyond that I think this is a good game
Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
If you just force close the app and reload form a save that fixes this problemgoonshow wrote:Black screens here too. They come after ending a season. Can't progress at all.
Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
Not for me I'm afraid. I just get a black screen again when I end the season.

Hello BluthCompanyCEO and goonshow,
Sorry to hear you're having issues as well. Do you have an iPad Air too?

Yes, iPad Air.
Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
I have iPad Air and cannot continue the tutorial after assigning SETs to the Jupiter rocket. It acts as if I didn't and it asks to do it again.
Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
@goonshow, Is this an iPad Air 1, correct? Also, which OS version are you using?
@Rorudan, welcome to the forums. Are you using an iPad Air 1? Which OS version is it running? Also, how many SETs did you assign to the Jupiter-C rocket? You should have three available at that point, and all of them must be assigned.

Yes, Air 1. It is running IOS 8, the latest update.
Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
Hi guys,
We would like to send you a test version of the game which would help us identify the issue with iPad Air. Please send your e-mail address to me in a private message here, and I will have you set up as soon as possible.
Thank you!

I think the problem is also happening on iPad mini retina. After 4 years when I try to progress seasons I get a black screen.
Edit: Trying a iPad reset seemed to allow me to get past the black screen. However I still have some further game breaking bugs around not being able to research more than 3 technologies that I've posted in the tech forum.

Re: Space Program Manager is available on iPad!
We have 4 iPad in house for testing but have not added iPad Air or minis to the hardware. Unfortunately the beta testers didn't have any issues either so we thought we were covered. We spend most of our time testing the least powerful oldest hardware as this is what causes the most issues.
We have confirmed that there is an issue with the tutorial on iPad Air but have not confirmed the mini issue yet. We're working hard to find out the cause but right now it makes no sense as the issue is repeatable in the tutorial but not the main game.
We're really sorry this got missed and are going to get you a fix as soon as we work out what is going on. Life used to be simpler when there was only 1 or 2 iPad models

I'm getting the black screen and the unable to remove research issues in both tutorial AND main game. Again, on ipad mini with retina.
