I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
A lot of questions keep coming up repeatedly, so what can we put into an FAQ stick to help players?
For sure we should start with this video, great 2 minute introduction to many things:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOg4Md7zmiE
Link to cheat codes/list of cheat codes:
Should be documented somewhere clearly.
I see a lot of questions coming up about the campaign:
Many times I've had to say 'huge Wehrmacht campaign in base game, solo, random, and multiplayer content for all European nations'...
What else can we put into an FAQ to help players? Post some thoughts and links and let's help build a nice FAQ sticky.

Re: I want an FAQ Sticky
Something important to add to FAQ
How to upgrade to General edition, or FM edition, if you only have the basic edition of the game.
This seems to be asked a lot.

Here's another question coming up often, people asking to see the campaign tree.
Good thing to put in the FAQ.

All good ideas.
I think there should be some basic information about how to play the game. I've seen quite a few posts with people complaining how they get wrecked.

There's a sticky there but someone else will have to populate it for now.

Maybe an empty FAQ is not a good idea. It should be populated before it goes up, because people clicking an empty link gives a very poor impression. Also, I don't think anyone can just 'populate' an FAQ. The point isn't for random posters to say as they please like a typical forum thread.. It should have one post, and be locked. It's there to answer questions, not have them posed within it.Patrick Ward wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 2:01 pm There's a sticky there but someone else will have to populate it for now.

Which is why I made this thread, for planning and discussing and filling it out.

One central location that links to the various youtube video clips they've made, the 'tactical videos'. That's a good idea.

Totally agree. It looks very odd with an empty FAQ sticky. Better to sticky when it has some actual content.Kerensky wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 9:40 pm

Re: I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
I know a question I have seen raised a lot
1 / When will the multiplayer be improved to be more fitting with how it was described in the steam store and promotional videos ??
I know I myself dont think 10 static scenarios really cuts it for what was described .
I remember seeing official posts explaining there will be a lot more user created custom multiplayer content added ...
2 / How is it possible to access and play the multiplayer user created content?
2 questions for your faq
I believe a patch is incoming ... any eta ?
Thanks from ,
Just some worthless 'random' guy.

Questions about the list of heroes and their abilities seems common, another good potential addition.

There's a lot of question how support units function in support mode, like ART and AT (what they support and what they don't support, and under which circumstances). I think that should be added to the FAQ.

Re: I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
Yea a good one I dont see many in multiplayer but it should be in manual ?
Im guessing it maybe isnt if it was could be easy copy paste it
In PG2 heros had 2 traits one was class specific and one was a generic one (eg tanks got 1 extra movement and a random skill could be overwatch ... always good fun:)
The concern some people are having with hero's is combining some can be very over powered?
Im not sure if consideration for this was made ,since I haven't seen many hero's yet myself but I would like to see the list out of interest ..
( is it possible to give hero's to certain units in a scenario ) it was in Pg2 but here u can shuffle hero's around for customization which is a nice feature .. but that could take away from a scenario designer trying to build something with particular objective in mind?

That seems like should be in more of a gameplay guide sub forum than in FAQMickMannock wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 6:21 am There's a lot of question how support units function in support mode, like ART and AT (what they support and what they don't support, and under which circumstances). I think this stuff is in the manual if so another easy copy paste and maybe some added guide to explain in more detail would be pretty easy

Re: I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
The information could be in many places, but FAQ stands for Frequently Asked Questions, and so far, the function of support units has been a very frequently asked question. That's why I thought it would be appropriate to have it in the FAQ, since that is where a lot of people start looking when they are wondering about something.Real_MultiPlayer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 8:16 amThat seems like should be in more of a gameplay guide sub forum than in FAQMickMannock wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 6:21 am There's a lot of question how support units function in support mode, like ART and AT (what they support and what they don't support, and under which circumstances). Re: I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
One thing that I always referred to in PC1 was the equipment list with all the stats....it was a giant spreadsheet....very helpful, and interesting.
Re: I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
An online link to the manual would really help in the FAQ. Don't need the whole manual, but at least some indicators how to find it.
Re: I want an FAQ Sticky filled with answers to commonly asked player questions
On that note, I think there's more than enough to open a proper FAQ thread.
Any forum moderators want the honor of posting it, let's sit down and hammer it out for our hungry Panzer Corps players!

I don't know if this is unique to only certain versions of the game but I don't see that making much sense.

Maybe we can just put that image into the FAQ under 'where's the manual?' lolPatrick Ward wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 12:43 pmI don't know if this is unique to only certain versions of the game but I don't see that making much sense.

Manual is literally in the launcher, just below the Play button
