Division B
Kroche (Aragonese 1450-1479AD) 7% loss
defeated
Vadim84 (German City N & W 1488-1500 AD with Low Countries Allies 1488 - 1500 AD) 41% loss
Map was fairly open with a small hill in the centre the Germans could reach first and a similar sized mound the Aragonese pikemen could occupy on their left. A larger hill was on the very far left and initially left by both forces. Both sides faced each other with some skirmishing as the lines readjusted - Aragonese strengthened the left while Germans stayed mainly strong in the centre. Aragonese crossbow moved to occupy the larger hill from where they could weaken the German forces with missile fire. With the German left weakened the Aragonese pike moved forward to enagage Landsknechts to allow a charge by Men at Arms to break the Germans on the left. To the Aragonese right there was less inclination to attack as German strength at least matched their own on that flank. There was combat there near the end and Aragonese were helped by a defensive spear unit breaking through the German centre by perfectly chasing some light foot which got themselves out of certain death and into a position to ease pressure that was building on the Aragonese right. GG

Division B
Kroche (Aragonese 1450-1479AD) 19% loss
defeated
edb1815 (Milanese 1440-1500AD) 50% loss
The Aragonese formed a defensive line on a central slope - spearmen, pike with crossbow support. A large hill on the right topped with rough terrain formed a protection for Almughavars to advance forward on the right, while the left and centre stayed defending. The left side of the battlefield saw skirmishing between light horse with Aragonese gaining an advantage. Milanese pike and dismounted knghts moved forward in the centre with a few units of knights swinging down on their right wing. The Aragonese spears delayed the Milanese right wing from folding up the line, the Almughavars on the large hill meant Milan had to keep some forces back to engage them. Some tough melees in the centre caused a lot of casualties on both sides, but the Aragonese crossbowmen took flanking opportunity when it appeared to break Milanese resistance. GG

A stream cut across the middle with hills on each side that main forces from each side occupied. Both sides were in the ascendency on the wings they were strongest and match was in the balance for long periods. Crusaders started to pull away in the points and the game finished due to getting 2 breaks while their own fragmented units managed to keep alive, otherwise match would have continued for some time. A draw I think would have been a fair result here. That is my final game in Imperial so thanks to all of my opponents and to Mark for organising.

wzfcns draw IMC
Since neither IMC nor I initiated the match early, and since IMC currently believes it is no longer possible to continue the match, I would like to consider this a draw.

ray552 (German (Imperial) 1488-1500 AD) defeats Kroche (Aragonese 1450-1479 AD) 45-19
Each side routed the other's left wing, but the Landsknechts in the center defeated the opposing regular Aragonese pikes, and a few lucky German rallies tipped the scale.
Well-played by Kroche!

klayeckles (kyr greek+carthage) defeats carpenkm (sparta +roman) 41 to 15
spartans played it tight, anchoring their flanks on a swath of forest and a hilltop, with all the power of vet. legions and spartan pike in the center. the african greeks fanned out with citizen hoplites and weaker MF, anchoring their center with a flotilla of Hvy chariots and Vet spearmen. in order to make use of their better troops the spartans would need to advance...creating holes or giving up the flank anchors, they chose to hold tight so much of the battle was skirmishing and edge maneuvering. Skirmishing was more costly to the spartans, as their numbers were fewer. Late in the day cracks started to form as the greeks flank manouvered on both sides. then in a quick succession of encounters the armies clashed...and the greeks held long enough to let units sneak thru the cracks to gain the advantage, just a few hours before sunset the spartans capitulated.

My match with Triarii will likely not finish. We have sufficient turns and neither side is close to a break point. However Triarii has the advantage. He has destroyed my infantry and it is 1 vs. 3 pike units. I may have a slight advantage in Knights but would need some luck to gain back momentum in the game.ericdoman1 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 12:56 pm Hi All

Div A
Triarii Neapolitan 1440-1500 with Venetian 1440-1500 allies
defeats
edb1815 Bohemian Catholic 1450-1500 with Hungarian ally
40-7
A very unsubtle route 1 game where mountains left a small pass. A mass of Neapolitian light troops allowed all important slopes to be reached first and also protected dismounted knights on the left and pikes on the right from cannon, war wagon and Xb fire until getting to grips. The dismounted knights were capable of dealing with the Bohemian war wagons, especially while upslope, while pikes and kiel outclassed the spears and Xb facing them. There was also some evening up of luck for the Neapolitians to edb's cost. Both in combat results and - after the previous severe attrition of Neapolitian Generals they got through a battle without any carelessness at all. None were lost in combat - a first for this list in this tourney.

Re: TDC Imperial - Results
The deadline for completing matches has arrived. All Div B and C matches have posted results; thanks for that. 3 Div A matches have yet to post results and I have contacted those players to get the final status of those games. Once that information is collected, I will post the final standings for the season.
