I agree with you that it would be fairer for the sides to be drawn instead of chosen.

Re: Panzer Corps 2017 Multiplayer Championship!
Only the last move of my opponent remained, so I can give the result.
Riker (soviets) vs Kondi754 (axis)
Soviets win after 20 rounds.
Great congratulations to my rival, who chose the right tactics, the right units to fulfill it and then perfectly (almost not making mistakes) made everything.
He is a skilled player, I wish him victory in the tournament.
It doesn't change the fact that if I had luck to chose the side and played the Russians I would have better chances of winning this match and advancing to the next round.
After our match: 11 wins for the Allies (78,6%) against 3 Axis winners (21,4%).
It seems to me these numbers clearly show that something is wrong with this map.

Thanks Kondi, too bad that this scenario was not really well balanced. You were a very worthy opponent and you kept on playing a very good match until the final turn. It was an honour to meet you on this battlefield!
Good luck with your future games!
Re: Panzer Corps 2017 Multiplayer Championship!
Actually it was a very equal fight, just luck decided at the end. Mkoki played very well, he would deserve to enter the next round as wellmkoki77 wrote:Mkoki77 (axis) vs DCK (Allies)

Round 2 Results
Well the final report is in and yes this one was a little lopsided.
So let me start by apologizing, I picked the wrong scenario for this tournament.
I am sorry for picking such a clearly lopsided scenario. Please forgive me.
I thought it was balanced based on never having lost either side on the battle before, and based on when we played it for the Soviet Multiplayer Tournament here:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... ultiplayer
I cannot change that now and we must move on.
I have listened to your thoughts on this and the next battle is going to be a paired scenario. This means there will be rules if there is a tie in the number of objectives which I will detail when I post Round 3 on July 4th.
With that said here are the winners of Round 2:
RAG116
Fabio3110
Dck
Kingshafter
SSIGeneral
woken
Shilod
Stefandk
leonidas048
alexrus
agentj23
armstein
TonyAfan
WarHomer
riker
paulwalvoord
It turns out there were 4 winners for the Axis, who must feel like total studs, and 12 winners for the Allies.
The one solace I can take is that only 9 of the first pickers won the match, and 3 of them chose Axis, so who got to choose didn't really factor in who won. In my opinion.
I will be posting Round 3 at Midnight July 3rd/4th.
Until then...Stay Lutheran my Friends.

Re: Panzer Corps 2017 Multiplayer Championship!
I think the apology is not enough.
BTW, probably too many names of winners above.
It should be 16, and there is 22.
In my case this was of great importance, because I also wanted to play for the Allies and I couldn't, because my worthy and experienced opponent evaluated the map properly and chose the right side of the conflict.

Don't agree.Goose wrote:

There is still 1 name too much
Besides there are 4 names of players who played in this round with each other

Good Game to everyone. Thanks for running the tournament goose, it is always fun and exciting. Can't wait for next one!
Re: Panzer Corps 2017 Multiplayer Championship!
It is sad to drop out of the tournament in such circumstances.
But this is only a game for fun, not olympic games, so I wish good luck for all and let the best player win
I'll win this tournament next time.

Round 3 Match Ups: FIGHT!!!
Well you guys did it again. I didn't think you could do it, but you did.
You made me love you guys even more than I already do.
The kind words I have heard since my apology have been greatly appreciated and make me love this community even more.
Thank You!
With that said...let me set the stage:
Allies hear:
Today is the day, Men! We will overthrow these oppressors as we seize control of our homeland from these interlopers. We have been able to wrest control of the means of production so we will have complete access to the French arsenal. Lets show them what French military might is made of.
Axis hear:
We have heard your repeated requests for assistance in quelling this uprising going on in your part of occupied territory, held by your forces, but we are completely occupied with our Bolshevik problem, to get side tracked with your management difficulty. If you are unable to handle this rebellion, we may have to reconsider this alliance.
That is right you may have guessed it by now, the next scenario will be...
Partisan Uprising
(Thanks for helping me retest this one Hurly)
You are going to be playing this fun little battle from the Vanilla Campaign, that takes place between 2 minor nations and their lesser known arsenal's. This battle has a little of everything, some sea battle, some air battle, some close terrain battle. All kinds of fun. Because we will be playing a paired game, I will be giving you an extra week to play this battle. Since there will be a chance for tie's to happen I will need you to save your last round screen shot so if both games with the same number of Major Objectives for both players than the player finishing with the most prestige wins.
The player on the left will set up a paired game with undo off this time to increase the difficulty as you are all now considered expert's.
I would like this completed by July 23rd.
Here are the match ups: That I am hoping Alberto can set up in one of those fancy dealies he has been creating that shows who will face whom up into the final match up.
RAG116 vs woken Shilod vs. DCK
tonyafan vs riker armstein vs alexrus
