Rule check
Compulsory FOW and Double Move?
I'd say yes to FOW and double move for this tournament.
Still need PM army choices from iversonjm and Yann, hidde need you to decide which option you wish to run, can't start the competition until the choices have been made. Please let me know if you have decided not to take part and I will try and get replacements.
cheers

Here are the rules for the tournament that I'm going to use.
Armies to be used are 500Pt Rise of Rome only, the first player in each tie is to submit the challenge and then PM their opponent with the password for the game. Fog of War and double move are to be enabled for all games.
Players must stick to their original army choice throughout the whole tournament, any changes to the troop selection desired are allowed from round to round, so you will be able to tailor your force somewhat depending on what enemy you are going to be facing.
The first round will have four ties in each of the two groups, the winner of tie 1 will play the winner of tie 2 and the winner of tie 3 will play the winner of tie 4, within their group. In the eventuality of a draw the army that suffers the lowest amount of casualties will go through to the next round. Please post results to this page.
If both players agree that they are not happy with the map the battle is to be fought on, they can restart the game in the hope of getting a more agreeable map.
In the case that neither player in a battle is prepared to be the aggressor and a stalemate ensues that cannot be resolved by starting again and completing within the given time frame, then I will have to flip a coin to decide who goes through to the next round.
I'm currently looking at a seven day turnover between rounds, if this doesn't seem like it will be sufficient I will look at extending this.
Any thoughts or queries on this then please let me know.

Maybe 9 days, which would then possibly allow for 2 weekends. Although I can usually get multiple turns in every nite, it of course depends on my opponent and what timezone they are in.....
I don't want anyone to be dropping out yet, as I'm having enough trouble getting the tourney started as it is. I'll start with a ten day turnaround and see how we go, if it comes to a point where someone can no longer participate for whatever reason then let me know and I will try and find a replacement for you then.
