Totally agree,

His name alone is highly offensive.

Is there not anyway you can change that Iain?

I am a lttle confused about what exactly this game is ...

"Re-Live over 100 of the most famous battles from Roman history." suggest that each battle is fought in isolation i.e. no campaign

but

"Customize the look of every unit and assign over 100 skills" assigning skills suggests a campaign approach where experience in one battle allow you to upgrade your units ready for the next: such is the approach in Legion Arena. Or ARE all the scenarios separate battles, but you are allowed to select the skills appropriate for the ensuing conflict?

I would prefer the former - re-enacting many major battles of history with the LA engine would be a sure winner IMHO.

I actually agree...having 10-20 major battles to chose from without having to go though the campaign would be great:

1. the normal scenarios.
2. 10-20 Famous battles to fight
3. Random battle generator

The 'Campaign' style is the same as Legion Arena. You have an army which you get to keep and upgrade through the sequence of battles.

May I ask question?
Are there any new unit types, for exsample roman marines?

And I really hope slitherine make historic based feudal Japan's era war strategy games.

But are the scenarios all the same as in LA or are they all new ones, and do you have new troop types to choose from?

Thanks

/me's ears perk up

Will it be moddable like Legion Arena? Will the mod interface be any more user friendly?

Music is great - same composer Mike Rubino, but a lot more of it. Each of the 29 movies has a track written for it, plus 4 battle tracks, 2 UI tracks, and more.

Modding wise its will be the same as LA.

I'm new

I'm new here & I'd like to say a few things...

1. If you'd make a cauple of more games with the Legion Arena setup featuring the events of greek city states & such, have a few more unit choices than in LA and make it available for mac (I've got a mac) you'd get my buy.

2. And isnt this game pretty much alike LA? Or is it perhaps just some new & upgraded version of the game?

3. If you check alittle about Gallic history & stuff you will probably see that most of the gallic warriors fought naked, almost only the nobility wore clothes, so you might want to consider making some more kinds of "naked fanatic" groups. Oh, and in the Mac version of LA the pilum, javelins & the arrows look pretty much the same.

4. Alittle more blood in your games would perhaps make it alittle more realistic.

5.A few more factions (and scenarios) might make this game alittle more interesting, you could make a scenario for Carthage, The Germans & even the Greek city states! (If your budget allows, that is...)

6.Your games are great! If you'd just program a cauple of them for mac it would also be great
(There are few enough games for mac as it is)

I am quite certain that is entirely incorrect.

Just so you know - the vast majority of the work is on the PS2 and PSP versions. The PC versions is not where the focus of the effort is going so we're not going to be adding any more new features, but the PC is getting some upgrades for free as part of the console development (movies, music and other features mentioned). I don't want you guys to expect too much from the PC :)
