As Halvralf, I've tried, like I said, "various combinations", that includes different tank types and/or nations (come on, you should know by now I'm quite thorough with stuff like that... :wink: )

And the spec says "defensive bonus", so I guessed a weaker tank should have reduced losses and not a higher attacking output (?)

Hey, at least the enemy tank doesnt seem to get a defensive bonus anymore from this skill! That's... an improvement I guess?

Actually I don't think we can even say that; the tank in the posted example isnt strong enough to damage the enemy so we don't know if there is a defender buff.

The original topic I posted this bug in is here: viewtopic.php?f=372&t=81245

So you can see what it looks like in practice. The predicted casualties go from 4 / 0+ when not using Panzerkeil to 3+ / 0+ when using Panzerkeil, which means the defender's defenses are increased.

I've recreated the situation from your original thread and still don't see any differences at all in the current state.
(I've tried those combinations with heavy tanks in my first post already BTW, but obviously nowadays things "never happened if there's no pic of it". :wink:)

PS: And before someone asks, yes, I've even tried the attacks and didn't depend on the prognosis alone.

I would have believed you even without the picture. :mrgreen: What puzzles me is has the specialisation ever worked - even at the developing stages?

I've taken a closer look at the bottom screenshot in the original thread and I feel a bit stupid right now for not noticing this:

There's the "blue cross" under the adjacent "heavy treaded" Tiger, suggesting this unit's giving supporting fire. No such thing in the current OoB v6 build.

You sure this didn't work as intended before? There's often a "weaker" attack prognosis with attacks using the flanking mechanic, but the defensive bonuses are always applied in practice.

Good question. Actually I've never tried the spec myself and depended upon the reports of others with this. :oops:
There were so many bugs left with Panzerkrieg DLC, it just seemed kinda fitting at that time... :lol:

I haven't tried it either because of all the reports. Volkskrieg will be the DLC for this particular spec so I hope it will be fixed by then.

What's so great apart from getting a decent SPG for free and a bit earlier (but not better than the ones available 1943)?

I dont like open-top TD like marder or narshon as much. They are vulnerablr to every thing but cover frienly troops. Surely they can help at early blitzkrieg and sandstorm but later we have godlike sthug.
And about spg, i dont see any helps before hummel appear, so i want more of them
Its good to see that fix
