The point is to always have a reployment zone where the player can exchange units, like swichting out fighters for bombers.
It can also be useful if we have a big map with various places of redeployment allowing to make cross units from a zone to other one of the map.
But did you use the redeployment Hex in this Blitzkrieg Erik's Campaign ?

I frequently exchange fighters with tactical bombers during Erik's campaign when the AI airforce is more or less defeated. Rarely, I even start without a single bomber when I know there are plenty AI fighters around. It's just too costly to repair them and a waste of time if they sit idle around own airfields for some turns. Escorts are sadly pointless in OOB if own fighters can't reduce the enemy fighter damage.
The official Marine Corps campaign has some useful redeployment zones as short-cuts in some island maps, but the PC campaign maps are usually only ground battles from one side to the other, so less useful. The zones could become very useful later in defensive scenarios, in particular if you run out of RPs, or if you exchange AA-vehicles for additional artillery or anti-tank units for example.

Hey!

Been browsing through this thread and cant seem to find an answer to my issue.

Ive been trying out both Blitzkrieg 41-42 and sea lion, and when i come across "branching" (choosing between different scenarios to play), it will load but all i see after i press continue is a large version of the overview map. So..erhm..im not sure what to do with that? Any thoughts?

Svirre82, is you game up to date to v3.3.7?
It looks like you are missing game data that can't be loaded by your game, possibly caused by newly added objects.

Scénario n°2 Danzig Corridor North :
I propose three changes :

- (1) Schlezwig-Holstein : BB Colorado -> BB Deutschland (Kriegsmarine)

- (2) Historical Event :
I think that somebody asked for more events. Here an Historical Event for the capture of Danzig Primary objective (the image is historical) :

- (3) Post Office Garrison :
The Polish Infantry defending the primary objective Danzig should be renamed "Post Office Garrison" as in the original scenario.

In the original scenario, the "Post Office Garrison" was Mountain Infantry which is better than ordinary infantry. There is no polish moutain infantry, max entrenchment for more armed resistance ?

Sounds all good. Maybe upload the edited scenario, so Erik can include it to the campaign archive? Looking for and editing event pictures is always time-consuming.
I already reported this typo in Schlezwig-Holstein some time ago: Schleswig-Holstein
As long as you don't change these postguards to a Hvy Inf unit, it's all fine with max entrenchment.

Hey.

The game is updated. I have no problems with other campaigns like philipines.. Just the ones that have branching.

In the Blitzkrieg 1941-42 campaign version 1.8, after the Metaxas Line scenario, the Maleme scenario does not start. A map appears and the game freezes. :(

Not to highjack Serezha70s message but thats the same issue i have, all though in branching missions. Got v.3.3.7 myself.

I don't know what could be wrong for you guys there. All three Crete missions work fine for me with campaign v1.8.
When you guys load any of the failing scenarios, do you get any particular errors listed in "Order of Battle - WW2_Data/output_log.txt"?
"Failed to get pixels of splat texture" seems harmless, but there are possibly additional exceptional errors after the "**** NEW GAME LOAD ****" line which are repeated forever.
Ah, please don't post the complete log.txt file content!

I conducted the experiment. If I put the Maleme scenario first in the data.cmp file, the mission starts. If it goes after Metaxas, the game freezes.

Need help. Erik, First thank you for the awesome campaigns! I am having a lot of fun. I just have an issue with the 39-40 Campaign. Norway will not launch. It will load but gets stuck on a really weird looking zoomed out view then locks up. Every other scenario works perfectly until I hit Norway. I tried to go through all the other comments to see if anyone else had this issue but I didn't see anyone with the same problems. Any Idea's?

I think the Sea Lion campaign has no own topic in the main forum yet. After Erik did some KM tweaks, I'd like to give it a try again and post some comments, but don't want to create this topic myself. This honor should be Erik's.

I have the same issue like Serezha70.
That's the first exception in my logs, appears there is a missing shader.
In result, many null reference exceptions.

The mentioned errors above should be rather harmless. Null-reference errors are the typical crash-reasons. Unfortunately they usually don't give a clue which object and/or line is causing the trouble.
Do you guys own the Kriegsmarine DLC? I doubt that some objects actually demands the ownership of the DLC to access new units in custom scenarios. As I've also mentioned in the main forum's B39-40 topic, all the new scenarios there work fine for me except Oslo, like the three Crete ones in B41-42. Make sure you use the latest campaign version from the custom-campaign topic in the scenario-design forum.
Also better don't start the campaign with any mods, in particular those from mod launcher which could replace the units.csv file. Otherwise, reinstall the game and hope for the best!

I've been on a trip to England the last week so I'm playing catch-up in the forum.
I'll change the Schleswig-Holstein to the proper Deutschland class.
I'll use a Yugoslav mountain unit for the Post Office garrison.
And yes, please "post" the postal image and and I'll add an event.

To those with problems selecting branched scenarios; they all work fine on my PC so I guess there must be something with your installs, game or campaign/scenario.
Please make sure you have downloaded the latest version. There was a lot of changes about a week ago.

I have a problem with the sealion campaign 2. scenario.
i have to shoot down 20 fighters, ive shot down 12 so 8 to go but there are no more fighters on the map. i even checked with console command.
also i doubt that this scenario is even possible without any money for repairs... 27 per turn is nothing for the amouth of planes you have.

Make sure you have the latest version.
There was a number of changes recently, ie adding an extra number of resources at the staret of each scenario.
