MPC '41 Development.
Some information about MPC '41. I have picked the first scenario, which is unsurprisingly Belgrade.
The Belgrade map will not be the same as the one from DLC 41 East. German forces (your forces) will approach Belgrade from three sides, and i also included a role for the Hungarians to capture the territory between Donau and Drau rivers. Novi Sad is not a part of victory requirements, but if the city is captured by the Hungarians, bonus prestige will be awarded. Aside from the capture of Belgrade, additional objectives will be Sarajevo and Osijek. Currently this map is being created.
I have to take historical dates more or less into account, but i should manage to create two scenarios in Greece.

Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '35- '39 v1.2 FINAL/MPC '40 v1.1 FIN
Some news from the front...
I make an attempt not to duplicate the DLC 41 starter missions although it is not so evident. When we speak of the Yugoslavian campaign, i wish not to make the same oversights as in DLC 41.
The MPC 41 version of the Belgrade mission holds no Romanian troops but core units can be deployed in Romania. The Yugoslavian camp does not field "foreign imaginary" units except for example the Hur I, R-35 and Bf 109.
For design reasons, i had to include Romania as a faction for the player, otherwise planes cannot be refueled on the Romanian airfield but auxiliary units cannot be bought to counter this "design flaw".
The map is larger with three zones of deployment. One zone in the west (so-called a battlegroup that invaded from Ostmark into Yugoslavia), one zone in Romania and one zone in the southeast (so-called battlegroup that invaded from Bulgaria into Yugoslavia).
Last but not least, there is also a modest Hungarian presence who should press south and capture Novi Sad for an extra prestige dump.
There are three objectives to capture, but the capture of Belgrade will suffice for a marginal victory.
The number of SE units and max XP is the same as DLC 41.
I'm currently testing this scenario.
I'll keep you informed about MPC 41's progress.

MPC '41 development news
The second and third scenario have been chosen.
I named number two Thermopylae, a battle against Australian and New Zealand forces and number three will be Athens.
The map and scenario of number two is done, I just need to test. Number three is on the drawing board.
I was thinking not to make yet another Crete scenario but perhaps, a second spoils of war, this time against the Italians.
I'll keep you updated.
Happy Easter.

Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '35- '39 v1.2 FINAL/MPC '40 v1.1 FIN
Hello Niki!
As always, thanks for the continued effort you put in improving this game...
By the way, knowing that this is not very topic-related, I would like to tell that I am playing the Afrika Korps Extended campaign and I have to say that it is excellent! I like very much the changes introduced to it, and also, the possibility of "buying" my own core, with the units I prefer... The Gazala Line scenario is full of fun!! This is the last one I finished... Now, to take that pesky Malta island.
About the Upgraded equipment file, which I am also using... There is available in it, from sometime in 1942 the Sdkfz 140/1 tracked recon vehicle, which uses the regular Pz38 (t) icon (but this is about to change, see below). I think this should not be so, because this vehicle, not withstanding that it was rather "low tech" for it time frame (it mated a modified Pz 38 (t) hull with a Sdkfz 222 turret, both available since the beginning of the war) entered service sometime in 1944... I don't know if you plan to work further on the equip file, but in case you do, you can decide what to do about it.
And also about the equip file... I am planning to start working and releasing a kind of "universal" multipurpose units mod (in fact, just a modified equip file with more non-vanilla icons and lots of switchable units), and I want to use your excellent file as a basis for it , which contains a lot of good ideas and additions/corrections, and on top of that is compatible with all the official content (and may be another third party one). So, would you grant me your permission?
Thanks!!!

Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '35- '39 v1.2 FINAL/MPC '40 v1.1 FIN
Hi Nico,
I just finished MPC35-39. Now I want to continue with MPC40. Starting a new campaign in the menue I expected to be asked whether I want to import my savecore or not. But that dialogue menue did not appear and MPC40 started straight with a new set of core units. No chance to import my battle hardened core units from MPC35-39.
Have I overseen something or do you have any hints?
BTW: Your campagins are awesome and I love playing them very very much!!!

Try the MPC 39 equipment file for playing MPC 40.BlauerMax wrote:Hi Nico,

Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '35- '39 v1.2 FINAL/MPC '40 v1.1 FIN
Hi Nico,
thank you for your fast reply!
I copied the MPC35-39 equipment file into the MPC40 folder, but with no success: starting MPC40 still gives me no chance to select my core units from MPC35-39 but starts the campaign straight away.
To sum up, what I did:
1. Enabled MPC35-39 with JSGME. Played the campaign.
2. At the end of the campaign (Saar Offensive) I got a message "Your core units have been saved". I checked that in the savecore folder.
3. I then disabled the MPC35-39 campaign with JSGME and enabled MPC40 (with the MPC35-39 equipment file)
4. In the PC main menue I started a new campaign and selected MPC40. After selecting the difficulty level, this led straight to the first mission in MPC40.
I have the latest versions of both campaigns (final). Any other options for me to transfer my battle hardened core units to MPC40?

Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '35- '39 v1.2 FINAL/MPC '40 v1.1 FIN
Loading and playing the scenario files in GME is not such a good idea, there is no need anyway. GME does have the tendency to screw up the save core part. Only GME is needed when playing a campaign with custom crafted units.
I recommend you extract and play MPC 39 and 40 in the document\mygames\panzer corps\mods folder. Start MPC 40 through the more campaign folder and check if it doesn't pick up the MPC 39 core force.

Hi Nico,
ok, I see.
I copied both MPC campaigns in the documents\mygames\panzer corpos\mods folder and disabled both campaigns with JSGME. Then I tried to start a new campaign (MPC40). The result is sadly the same - MPC40 does not pick up my savecore.
Do you think it might help, if I start the MPC35-39 from scratch (without JSGME)?

You might try looking up the GUID in the actual save core file and comparing that with the GUID listed at the top of the MPC40 campaign.pzdat file. I have had trouble with the GUIDs in the save core file not always being right, no idea why.BlauerMax wrote:Hi Nico,

The GUID is in the 1st line of the save core file, will look something like this:
7 1 / 2 1 / 2 0 1 7 8 : 2 4 : 0 3 P M ! C o r e u n i t s : 2 2 . P r e s t i g e : 6 0 7 7 . & { C 6 F E 4 5 B 9 - F 4 0 8 - 4 5 a f - 9 7 0 9 - 1 0 6 4 F D C 8 3 6 9 4 }
E N D _ S A V E _ C O R E
plus a lot more. Just take out the extra spaces. If they are the same then I have no idea what the problem could be. If they are not the same, then you can fix it by editing the GUID in the MPC40 campaign.pzdat file. (Make a back-up first

Hi cw58,
thank you for this hint!
I checked both files (savecore and campaign.pzdat). As I am no PanzerCorps-file-editing-crack: what exactlely do I have to do? Which part in which do I have to edit? Only the part in brackets (i.e. {f534186e-3d16-4da7-a6fd-52dcead2e642} )?
Sorry for asking!

Re: [Axis Campaign] MPC '35- '39 v1.2 FINAL/MPC '40 v1.1 FIN
In those 2 files, are the GUIDs identical? If they are the same, then there is some other kind of problem that I can't help you with. The example you posted above is indeed a GUID, but the one in the save core file will have spaces.
But if they are not the same, then you can copy the number that is in the save core file, remove the spaces and paste it over (replace) the GUID in the campaign.pzdat file of the campaign you want to play. But again, be safe and make back-ups
Then when you start the new campaign, it should give you the option of starting with your saved core. AFAIK, you can link any campaigns this way. Hope that helps.
