Just a quick FYI. I just issued challenges in the Imperial division using a Silk Road army and the posted version 5.22. My opponents could not accept the challenge and told me there was a version 5.23 now. Maybe I missed a post about the update but I was unaware the MP version had been updated.

I saw all those elephants coming at me and ran for the opposite end of his army with all my cavalry, leaving my infantry to amuse the elephants. The infantry kept those elephants amused for the whole battle and even killed a couple.

We had a deep river running across the battlefield! I took all the light infantry I could, and so did the Macedonians and they had more, and those light infantry battled over the river while the battle lines of each army lined up right behind them and watched. But I had hidden some Thouroporoi (spelling?) and a cavalry general in a wood off on my left flank and I got them over the river, and attacked the right flank of the Macedonians. Gradually the Macedonian cavalry and foot were sucked into fighting in the river, which favoured my Thracian medium foot - a lot there was one element of Thourporoi fighting two phalanx, one of which charged in the flank and the Thouorporoi had the odds in their favour.

The Macedonian right flank was destroyed, the other flank was a draw - ZeCid had a heroic infantry unit on my side of the river while I had cavalry on his side, and then the Phalanxes in the middle went and it was all over. Very interesting challenge with the river.

You are mixing our scoring system with HOML. Check our rules. BTW thanks for helping us out in Imperial, who knows, we may need your assistance again as some players have still not posted results, hint hint.

Do you know if updating will effect an ongoing 5.22 game? (Hopefully it should finish soon but it may go to 24 turns)
