Ahh, seems I jumped the gun a little haha
No worries. If nothing from rockmanbob123 by this evening (Stockholm time), I'll generate his attack "selection" randomly so that we can proceed with defending armies.
It's time for the defenders to select their minor factions, posting their selections in the tournament thread ASAP but April 12 at the latest.
rockmanbob123 attacks using Assyrian 1365-891 BC with Mitanni 1594-1250 BC allies. kronenblatt defends.
jaerho attacks using Egyptian 1276-1200 BC with Luwian 1594-1180 BC allies. indibil defends.
kronenblatt attacks using Assyrian 1365-891 BC with Greek 1179-681 BC allies. rpadilla1988 defends.
indibil attacks using Egyptian 1200-1150 BC with Sea Peoples 1208-1176 BC allies. rockmanbob123 defends.
rpadilla1988 attacks using Hittite 1275-1180 BC with Elamite 1500-816 BC allies. jaerho defends.
Please note the following
Minor factions are used as the armies defending against major factions' attacks (as selected by the defending player).
Minor factions are not linked to any particular region but can be applied anywhere, for any region, with no geographical constraints.
The selected minor faction's army list must overlap (at least partially, with 1 year at least) the time period of the round.
A minor faction can be selected only once by a player (i.e., either as an ally army or as a defending army) during the course of the tournament.
A minor faction's army list can be selected by more than one player in the same round, whether as ally army or defending army.
However, if a minor faction is selected as ally army by an attacking player, the defending player is not allowed to select the same minor faction as defending army.
rpadilla1988 attacks using Hittite 1275-1180 BC with Elamite 1500-816 BC allies. jaerho defends using Mitanni 1594-1250 BC.
Hittites defeat Mitanni 33-61
Both armies met each other on the open deserts with patches of enclosures, a copse of rough ground laid on the center right. Mitanni was lined with spears and archers, close fighters and chariots at the flanks.. Hittites heavier with archers with some warriors a various armaments to boot, chariots with poker faces on the flanks too.
Skirmishing first, when Mitanni's main force moved into view they opened themselves to arrow fire causing damage. When they closed in the odds began to even but eventually both armies ripped into each other without mercy. The dice tipped in favor for the Hittites.
jaerho (Egyptian 1276-1201 BC with Luwian 1594-1180 BC allies) defeats indibil (Mitanni 1594-1250 BC) 51-12.
On a coastal plain, the Sherdana and the Egyptian Guards proved too much for the Mitanni infantry while the Egyptian chariots won an even duel on the flank. It all broke for the attackers on the same turn. Good game.
