I'm not a fan of the Panzer IIIJ upgrades here. The Panzer IIIJ's net you a +1 to ground & air defense vs the Panzer IIIH. The trade off is a reduction in fuel from 41 to 36. You'll be dealing with mud in this scenario - which drinks your tanks fuel. Worse still, resupply is reduced by half during turns with rain. So, it's easy to fall short of a DV when your tanks are running on empty as try to churn to that last far flung Moscow objective.

Got captured Ruski tanks? Bring 'em! T34's have a move of 6 vs 5 for most panzers. KV's carry 84(!) fuel units - so, you almost never have to worry about refueling them. These are stats that can be easily overlooked but are critical in this scenario.

Huge fan of the 110F upgrades though. Especially for the recon Rudel unit.

Thanks for the advice TSPC37730, I do remember needing to refuel my SE tanks quite a bit, but thankfully I was still able to pull out a Major Victory.

Quick tip on this scenario. I believe it will end as soon as you have 4 supply carriers on the airfields - even if you have turns remaining. If you want to keep playing, simply move 1 or 2 of them off the airfield & into a nearby hex. Move them back onto the airfield on the last turn or the turn you want the scenario to end. Good luck!

I am not sure when I will be able to find time for this as I have not played this let's Play since starting the Beta testing of Soviet Corps. Not sure exactly what you mean by the question.

Minimize loss of prestige, I have already experienced a little bit of the soft cap prestige stifling, so I am going to try and minimize how many units I bring that are over 500 in cost of prestige, but at some point I am not sure it will matter. (I guess we will see as I am unsure as this is now completely blind, which I enjoy immensely)

If you mean minimize the loss of units, this is a question that I feel is going to bite me the most as I am way too aggressive, more than I need to be, but that seems to be the only way I know how to play. So I guess I will have to accept losses at some point based on that kind of play.

If you mean minimize loss of scenarios, that will not happen.

My plan is to kill as many of their units as I have time to kill and take all objectives before the final turn.
That sounds like a pretty good plan.

Ok I got that burning itch to carry on this campaign, all of the talk on the forum is filling me with anticipation to playthrough Stalingrad...so I started Stalingrad Docks this weekend and got about halfway through and was taken aback by losing 2 units within the first 4 days. Yikes! (Definitely a tougher battle, but I am halfway through and hoping to get a chance to finish up when I am done with beta testing.)

Tatsinskaya was a killer. LOVE/HATE this kind of scenario but mostly love this challenge.

I created pincushions around Demishev, Litvinovka, and Sholokhovskiy that I intended to back away so I could gain prestige for taking them back, but it didn't quite work that way as I am way too aggressive.
I also set up an assault group around Naumov so that I could swing to Yanov on an assault.

1942 ended with a bang and I am going to try to avoid isolating units and move forward with strong units leading the assault.
