oscarius Byzantine 551-578 AD beats nyczar Numidian or Moorish (55bc - 6 AD) with Roman Allies: 62 - 52
Another slim victory for the Byzantines using their mobility and cavalry superiority to encircle the enemy while trying not to suffer too much shooting attrition and as always trying to keep elephants (who this list does not have much counter too with only a few light foot available) the hell away from my lancers (who are needed to keep the warbands pinned down). Well-fought by my opponent.

Aetius (Franks) defeats Garokan (Germans) 49-23
The dreaded German armored cavalry was kept from doing serious damage, and they in turn were hit pretty hard by the Frankish spearmen/arrow combination. Still they did a bit of damage before they were routed. GG!

Holien Seleucid 166-125 BC w/Jewish allies Defeats Challenge1 Carthaginian Hannibal in Africa 54% to 29%
Terrain Matters....
The Carthage force should have declined the battle as it was an uphill struggle for them and the smallest margins matter. A tough fight that was only just won by the Seleucid force the usual tale of two strong left flanks and two weaker right flanks. The side that lost the flank first was going to win.
Key moments - the Seleucid pike block guarding the right flank went into a square and held despite being disrupted by a fleeing friendly unit at the start of the onslaught. This unit held and held turn after turn soaking up three Carthage units which would have been better used in isolating the pike block and moving on to engage the open flank. Hindsight a wonderful thing…
Meanwhile on the Carthage weak right flank it finally collapsed with three units breaking on the last turn just pushing them over the edge into defeat… The hills helped the Seleucid victory and another day the Carthage force should have won the battle.
Thank you to my Oppo who was friendly and good natured throughout. GL with the rest of your games, choose your terrain wisely...

mh5064 FRENCH 888-1049 AD with VIKING defeats Trueknight Byzantine 600-649 40-12.
Battle characterized by a large and courageous Byzantine cavalry charge against the French neutralized by lancers. The ensuing counter-attack caught the Byzantine infantry off guard too far back to support the first attack. The French easily defeated the enemy infantry except from the Byzantine right wing which counterattacked effectively by halting the enemy.

mh5064 GERMAN (IMPERIAL) 1200-1319 AD defeats RAZIDE German North/West 1050-1154 with Danish 45-12.
The battle was fought close to a deep creek with hilly terrain in the vicinity. The two armies faced each other all along the line. The Germans tried to outflank the Imperials with cavalry but the raids were stopped by the defences. Imperial heavy troops with good support of archers and crossbowmen defeated their counterpart in the center and right wing (left for the enemy). On the opposite wing, a German counterattack put the Imperials in difficulty but the battle was now decided. Honor of arms to a great and courteous opponent who only had the demerit of exchanging a stone for a nut.

You either got the person or the army wrong for the challenge issued to me. mcfcivo is the Roman 24 BC – 196AD w Armenians and I am the Roman 425-492 AD with Germanic Foot Tribe Allies. So the challenge you posted has me(TheBug67) with the army of mcfcivo(24 BC – 196AD w Armenians). Please correct and reissue, thanks.

Kerait (Germanic Foot Tribes 105 BC-259 AD) defeats Najanaja (Gallic 300-101 BC with Etruscan 330-280 BC allies) 62-53
Incredibly close game. The Gauls' army was much more combined arms, deploying cavalry and chariots that caused the monotonal mass of German warbands significant stress. This meant that the Gallic line of warbands was shorter but by wedging his army between two forests, the commander ameliorated this disadvantage. The Germans opted for a crude frontal assault, with much of the left wing forced to trudge through a forest to try and get around the Gauls' rear while the main part of the warbands descended into a savage melee along the Gallic line. Najanaja set up various great flanks and the German right collapsed altogether, but by the roll of the dice and the gradual arrival of warbands out of the forest, the German left bested the Gauls in their vicinity. Hence, the battle flipped 90 degrees as the remaining halves of each shattered army turned and entered a second phase of the melee to decide the final winner. In this contest, the preponderance of German warbands finally paid off, and barely keeping Gallic horse from crashing into their rears, the Germans finished off enough Gauls to claim a tired victory. Good game to Najanaja!

Kerait (Scots (Isles and Highlands) 1050-1319 with Norwegian 1155-1319 AD allies) defeats angusosborne (Tuareg 950-1500 AD) 46-18
It is a difficult proposition for an army relying on camel lancers to take on the masses of heavy foot that the Scots/Norwegian list brings, but angusosborne made a good attempt of it, being well on the way to breaking the undermanned Scots left wing entirely. However, bad luck further compounded the Tuaregs' disadvantage elsewhere. Light archers sent a unit of camel lancers packing and Tuareg foot came out worse in a couple of key contests on the whims of Lady Fortune. I recognize the good luck that aided me in this victory.
Good game to angusosborne!

Badger73 [Seleucid 166-125 BC with Jewish 163-111 BC allies] defeats alexmike1 [Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC] - 60:45
In decent terrain for both armies, the battlelines deployed infantry against infantry and cavalry against cavalry on the same wing. Carthaginian cavalry bested their Seleucid counterparts but Seleucid pikemen and their Romanized heavy foot prevailed against Carthaginian hoplites with Spanish Scutarii. A good match against a fine opponent.
