Well okay, it´s not in this orange.
Man, it´s just a game not reality. I think the most important thing is we have fun in modding the game and I hope a lot of people all over the world will have fun playing our mod.
That´s enough for us!

This is our desert and your desert is different. No problem for our Team.

Enough HBalk.
You still haven't understand what is Panzer Corps and still persist in turn the game into another thing which is not.
Your commentaries in this thread are unpolite, unnecessary and excessive.
You're just falling into ridicule, like a jealous boy.

HBalck you are on a final warning. We will be forced to ban you from the SLitherine & Matrix servers if you do not change your attitude. You may have created some great mods but that does not permit you to talk to people the way you do. It would be a real shame to ban you.

Lets get Real about Fantasy and History

Post by Lazzie »

I can not believe people are making comments about other peoples hard work which is offered free for anyone to enjoy. The fact is the game Panzer Corps is not Historical to begin with and to complain to someone that their campaign is unhistorical is ridicules. Most of the time the designer states up front that the campaign is not meant to be historical and still people complain?

If the game was historical players would have forces consisting of 80% foot infantry and 20% mechanized with half being motorized infantry and the other half tanks. Most of the tanks would be PZ IV and PZ III and maybe one would be a panther. All the artillery would be horse drawn. If you want historical, play War in the East.

I just want to thank rezaf, nikivdd, el condoro, rivvendarke, DMP, and mannock for all their hard work and let me remind you it is free!! I have not played every campaign yet but I have played several and enjoyed all of them. I look forward to playing the rest as well. I do not care what color the desert is. Boise State plays on a Blue Football field is that wrong?

What I look for is a challenging scenario where victory is in doubt and these designers have provided several. Thank you

I for one like the entire concept of what is being created. Looks fantastic. The concept reminds me of an old Avalon Hill game - Tobruk .... I am looking forward to the downloads, and thanks again...

I went to the DMP site a few weeks ago and liked what I was seeing. So much so I joined their forum. They even created a sub thread in Afrika Korps for English speakers. These fellows do fantastic work and are very nice to newcomers. Good works DMP!

The size of that Torch maps concerns me a little.
What are the dimensions, starting and per turn prestige numbers, and value of pre-placed units, if you don't mind me asking?

Out of curiosity, if 1 scenario (Torch) stretches from the Atlantic to Tunisia and Libya, how do you fit 26 more scenarios into Africa?

Are these campaign, single play, or multiplayer maps? I hope you're not trying to make them all 3 at once. How much consideration has been given to the AI handling of these scenarios? Are the relatively new reinforcement and AI modification triggers invoked?

Yes - the map looks like a fast mission with not to mutch details. I used the scale 1km = 1 Hex also for my Torch scenario and show only the Casablanca landings with Pattons Corps, but with all historrical troops and mutch details for the terrain.

Don't get me wrong, I think the work looks great, I just want to make sure it plays great too. ;)

My guess based off the screen shot and the mini map is maybe 80x120? Maybe they are going by the floating scale scheme of the original PG where one battle might have a massive map that spans half a continent (like the PG Balkans one) whereas others are much smaller in ground scale (like original PG Crete)

Actually I do have one critique about the look. Orange sand is not a problem, but those almost neon blue strength plates on the sand? That contrast doesn't hurt your eyes?

The top picture to the left shows blue and its split complementary color, orange. This is acombination that has a high contrast of hue. This gives a rather vibrant combination that can be tiring to the eyes.

I agree Kerensky. The fist thought was to replace the strength plates.

I concur - I hate the strength plates but the work looks great otherwise!
