Which DLC should I buy?
Having played through the tutorials, I think I'd like to buy a Campaign but not sure which to go for. I only want to play the Allies, so, which is considered a good one to get your teeth into?
A related question, how long on average are the various Campaigns?
Thanks all.

You can test the first mission of each DLC to get an idea, it’s free

Re: Which DLC should I buy?
That is true. Still, I was curious if there was an absolutely essential Campaign purchase that might be recommended.terminator wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 3:16 pm You can test the first mission of each DLC to get an idea, it’s free

Do all Campaigns give you a choice of sides to play, Allies or Axis?

No, Blitzkrieg, Panzerkrieg, Sandstorm and Endsieg you play Axis (mostly German)
Red Star, Red Steel and Red Storm you play USSR

Thank you Halvralf.

I think I'd always recommend Blitzkrieg.
It's very well balanced and beginner friendly and you can then split to Panzerkrieg or Sandstorm as the next purchase

Just completed Burma Road. Good mix of defense and attack scenarios.
Also completed US Pacific. Good mix of Air, land and sea.
Cheers

US Marine Corp Campaign is US obviously. Also, some of the great quality, free, user-generated content allows you to play as allies:
Erik2 being the most prolific, with nearly 30 campaigns, several of them linked together, many allied campaign: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=80862
The Free France campaign is still being created, but Bru888 and ColonelY have done an amazing job so far: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=97262
The Spanish Civil War mod is here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=88783
Conboy's 3rd US Infantry division campaign is here: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=102239
Bru88 and Erik2 create a few campaigns here as well, mostly Finnish campaigns, and one each focusing on the UK/Canada and the US/Allies v. Japan battle of New Britain in the Pacific theater: viewtopic.php?f=374&t=94345

Re: Which DLC should I buy?
Here is the pathway:
C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Campaign.
I usually open up the "This PC" file on my computer, then go to the "Documents" file, then to the "My Games" file, and then to the "Order of Battle File." In there, you will move/cut and paste the downloaded campaign file into the "Campaigns" folder. Any scenarios you download would go into the "Scenario" folder. Now, when you open OOB, click on "Single Player," and then once the single player menu pops up, you will see up to four buttons along the bottom of that pop-up box. This option is only available if you are in the "Campaigns" tab. Click on "Custom Content," which is the second grey button on the pop-up menu. Then you will see all the downloaded content you have imported into that "Campaigns" folder in your "Documents" folder. You can scroll between them using the arrows on the bottom left or right of that pop-up if you have more than one custom campaign downloaded and installed.
Re: Which DLC should I buy?
I have created a desktop shortcut to my OOB My Games folder, looks like this.
I've marked the folders where you put scenarios, campaigns and mods.
