How do I update my vanilla v1.12 to the GS 3.1 mod? All I can find is this website from Matrix: http://www.matrixgames.com/products/344/downloads/

But the download is an installer that requires my cd key. I bought the game 6 years ago so I don't remember my key, and it seems very strange that I need a cd key to install a mod. Where can I find the files to just transfer them manually? Someone please help. Thanks.

you need the key- where did you buy?

I bought the game from slitherine originally (in 2009). Then when I got a new computer, I just zipped all the vanilla game files and transferred them to the new computer.

I'm so confused right now. This page (http://www.slitherine.com/ceaw_gs3) says I need CEAW v2.1 to install GS 3.1? Will it not work on v1.12? And why is Slitherine publishing and requiring a CD key for a player-made mod?

Also for the life of me I cannot find a support email for slitherine.

The game still didn't arrive, but I will ask something in advance,

Are the patches on http://www.matrixgames.com/products/344/downloads/ cumulative ? (meaning can I download the 3.1 patch and jump to it from whichever starting version I have) ?

First, you need to download & install the v1.12 patch. Once that is done, you can download GS v.3.10 straightaway. So v1.12 is the only prerequisite.
