Peleliu how do you win
How do you win? I have taken all the flags. Its shows complete on Anguar but not Peleliu. Is There a hidden flag?
Re: Peleliu how do you win
Could it be that, despite the objective description, you have to destroy all the units? I didn't get the Angaur objective recognized until I cleared the island completely, if I'm not mistaken.
Re: Peleliu how do you win
Have you won the scenario?
Re: Peleliu how do you win
Not yet, still need to finish it, I'm half-way.

Re: Peleliu how do you win
I am having same issue. Peleliu is all under my control (no boundaries shown, thus no foxholes left), all flags taken. But still - no victory. I wonder if a Japanese sniper is hiding somewhere...? Save file is attached.

Re: Peleliu how do you win
Same here, I can now confirm. Every hex is under my control and still no victory.
Re: Peleliu how do you win
Yeah, you're not alone. I finished the level twice and couldn't figure out what the problem was. I also experienced a slight bug when I captured the northern island the second time and didn't receive the free artillery unit. Ended up using the cheat code yesterday to pass the level.
Fun level mind you, though it can be tricky with the limited resource points per turn.

Re: Peleliu how do you win
Sorry guys - we are testing a fix for this and hope to have it out soon.
Re: Peleliu how do you win
finished, there are some hidden units in the north east, if you destroy those you will gain a victory, capturing all the flags will not win you the scenario. Use the cheat codes to give yourself some extra turns to find all the enemy bunkers,
Re: Peleliu how do you win
Sounds pretty tedious to me, which is why I've held off on the latest expansion. Great game, mind you. But like Panzer Corps, I think the devs need to be at least as creative as the modders when knocking out these expansions.
History is history, but 11 island slugfests do not appeal. I would hope at some point they had programmed a wicked AI banzai charge to spice things up a bit

Re: Peleliu how do you win
not tedious, really great fun and a learning experience
Re: Peleliu how do you win
After reading some Steam posts, I better master what I have now, as new scenarios seem pretty tricky to win.
Re: Peleliu how do you win
They are slugfests. Pretty much what the marines went through
Re: Peleliu how do you win
That's why I was a bit concerned, as it's a lot easier to program a defensive AI, and there have been questions on AI competency.
I played one of the original MP scenarios (forgot which one) versus a friend, and it was an awesome experience. I haven't gotten that in SP games, but I guess that's to be expected.

Same here. Went through this scenario three times, each time capturing all the victory (flag) locations and unlocking the prize in the north. Last two attempts I ran my troops over every last land terrain with no luck. Once this is fixed, it should be a cake walk in completing this scenario.

Re: Peleliu how do you win
You can't win. One of the flags (a secondary objective about 8 hexes S SW of hill 80) is not recognized as a secondary objective. If you click on it, only says mountainous terrain and does not show the objective name in white letters in the terrain box. If you click on objectives, the name will appear in white letters in the box like hill 80. So, it's not leftover or hidden units - it's you can't get all the flags even though it will change to a Marine flag etc. Waiting for a patch now............
Re: Peleliu how do you win
I've played through the Marines campaign about halfway on 2.3.8 and the rest on 2.3.9b without any issues.
There is an issue in the Morning Sun campaign with restarting the game that an objective is somehow resetted. Maybe something similar is happening for someone who isn't finishing a mission in one game session.

Re: Peleliu how do you win
I've completed this scenario twice, the last I captured all flags and had around 7 moves to track down any enemy units I thought might prevent me from a victory yet I still lost. Unfortunately, until the fix is released, this has forced me to use the cheat code for an instant victory. I loathe using cheat codes but after legitimately winning twice I have no choice other then abandoning the campaign. The full list of codes is on the Matrix site but the one to use here is...
Open the command prompt (press shift and c together)
Click on the command line and type in #igotnukes and hit enter.
Atleast you can move past this scenario.

Re: Peleliu how do you win
it's still cheating, but once you have cleared everything you can see, instead of using the "nukes" cheat, try using #orbitalcommand as an alternative. That will show you every unit on the map (removes fog of war for 1 turn). That way, you still have to hunt them down, but at least you will get a clear view of where they are. Er, assuming they don't move, as the fog of war re-establishes itself on the next turn, and things that move no longer show up.
