Multiplayer Suggestion

Post by JocaRamiro »

Hi,

I note that, when I consider, stepping up to a challenge, the side of the challenging player is listed as Side A, or Side B. Understanding the meaning of this requires that I previously knew which side was A or B. That is rather inconvenient. Could the actual playing nation, e.g., Carthage, Persia, be identified?>

Note, when I play a historical battle, I might prefer to take one side or the other. For example, if I have played as one side, I would prefer the next time to play as the other.

Note, I have been told that the players are identified as Player A, Player B.

That is precisely the point. What if I now want to be the Persians, the Romans. It can be a challenge to remember which is A and which is B

If the game is listed as "Carthaginian vs Roman", the Carthaginians will be Side A and the Romans will be Side B. This information is displayed for all custom battles and official epic battle scenarios.

Unfortunately some of the user-made scenarios do not include this information in the scenario title. There isn't currently a way for the MP UI to read off the sides involved in a scenario, so if the scenario creator does not include them in the scenario title, the MP interface cannot display them.

I have added a sticky notice to the Scenario Design forum reminding scenario creators to do this.
