Summer releases
Summer is traditionally a period of big releases for us at Slitherine and Matrix Games. We started launching big games in July a while back now, and it’s always proven to be a great choice. Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, Warhammer 40,000 Gladius, and Battlesector were all launched in the summer months. This year it’s Starship Troopers: Terran Command and Strategic Command American Civil War. We can’t wait to deliver them to you all.
A good moment for things to happen
June, July, and August are often disregarded by the big publishers, and it’s usually a release window that’s free of big competition. Not only that, advertising is less expensive, content creators have more time to try the games out, and you players are in a more relaxed mood to sit down and enjoy ad good mind-bending strategy experience.
We’re also going to save some space for big announcements and reveals. Stargate Timekeepers is approaching its beta stage, so we’re soon going to open sign-ups, and you can already subscribe to the Flashpoint Campaigns Southern Storm one.
New format
We’ve got a new YouTube format called Newsroom w/ Giulia. It’s going to be your best place to start the week with full details on what is going to happen in our growing Slitherine world; streams, tournaments, launches, developer diaries, articles, and everything else we’ve got in-house for you. As always, we’d love to have your feedback, so leave us a comment if you’ve got something to say.
A great start for summer
By the time the next editorial is out, we’ll already have released Starship Troopers: Terran Command. We’ll celebrate the event when the game is out, but let me share with you all how proud and excited we are for this launch. Every time there is a new big release we tend to say that “it’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done so far” and this title definitely falls into that category.
The amount of anticipation is insane, and we look forward to delivering it to you all. It’s going to be a wonderful start to a great summer.
