Slitherine Next 2024 has delivered a treasure trove of exciting announcements for strategy fans worldwide. The event introduced RuneQuest: Warlords, the first battle-scale strategy game set in the RuneQuest world. Players will take command of the Talastar tribes, stepping into the role of warlords leading them through a gripping 18-mission single-player campaign.
Additionally, Slitherine revealed the long-awaited release date for Broken Arrow, planned for June 2025. Following a successful Multiplayer Open Beta, the game continues to generate massive anticipation as one of Steam’s top 50 most-wishlisted titles.
We also had the first public reveal of a mission from the single player story campaign commented by Félix Habert, Creative Director at Steel Balalaika, and Neil McKenna, Senior Producer at Slitherine.
Fans of Starship Troopers: Terran Command can look forward to the new Territory Mode. This mode introduces new maps, randomized challenges, and the innovative Territory Points system, ensuring fresh gameplay experience designed specifically for replayability. Get ready: the open beta is starting next week.
The Warhammer 40,000 universe also saw major updates, with the release of two highly anticipated DLCs. Battlesector: Astra Militarum brings the backbone of the Imperium’s might, with sixteen new units ready to defend and fight for the Emperor, and Gladius: Ultima Founding, introducing powerful Primaris Space Marines to the battlefield. During the event, we also unveiled important news about the next steps of Battlesector and the plan for 2025.
Finally, the Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance: We Are Legion DLC has been unleashed, giving players control of Legion forces in a thrilling new single-player campaign. Following the story set in motion in the base game, the new DLC expands on that and gives players more answers on the storyline. It also introduces new army mechanics into the way players manage their Machine army.
