I doubt this is too high on most lists, but I would be ostentatiously grateful for the ability to name generals, in both custom games, and in sandbox campaigns.
Thank you for your kind attention.

Re: Campaign
Paul,
As a not so wise man once said, "D'oh!"
Thank you. I only downloaded the custom battle version. I shall attend to the other.

Campaign
Forgive me if I have somehow missed the answer to this question somewhere else, but is there a way to use Paul's TT mod in the sandbox campaign mode?

Re: Failed to load...
That's the same error message I got when trying to test my modified Squads file. I came to the conclusion (possibly erroneously) that my problem stemmed from the way I was converting and re-converting from XLSX to CVS, using an online application. Also, isn't the assetfilename - CAVALIERS_UNARM_VETE...

Re: New Period(s), New Releases?
Give me some siege engines, and I don't care what era it is - Roman to whatever - anything else can be modded. Now it is possible Richard is deliberately toying with us..."Rome wasn't built in a day" may refer to the content, or he may be saying, "Christmas is out of the question!&quo...

Re: God I suck
I struggle often as well - especially with some of the fiendishly clever user created scenarios, but that is what I love about this game. Many others are either ridiculously easy or end up using very obvious cheats to beat me. Pike & Shot has always been fun, sometimes murderously challenging, b...

Re: New Period(s), New Releases?
Backwards in time is good enough for me. But I must own a preference for medieval because it is potentially such a wide net. The War the Roses, the Crusades, the 100 Years War, Bannockburn, etc.A good engine for that period could take in everything from the Dark Ages through the Norman Conquest and ...

Thanks for the Spurs!
I shall now hear 'challenging' as a euphemism for 'hopeless!'
Wonderful all the same...

Re: New Battle of Pavia 1525 scenario
Paul,
Started playing this one and I love it. The map is an absolute masterpiece. This is one of my favourite periods and - as all your scenarios have been - it is tremendously diverting to play. Thanks again.

Thanks, Paul. Your stuff is always a treat, a feast on every level possible. Look forward to wherever your interests take you and us next (Don't suppose I could bribe you to do The Battle of the Spurs and Thérouanne?)

Re: New Period(s), New Releases?
This news - as understandably vaporous as it is - is wonderful. Glad you decided to go back in time. Whenever, wherever will be interesting. There are enough games from the Age of Napoleon forward. What made P & S so interesting was it's rarely-treated subject matter. The same will be true no ma...

Massed Archers
Maybe I am suffering delusions, but I thought I remembering playing a scenario wherein some clever person created a massed archers unit. Now I find I need to do this for my project and wondered how it was done - if it was done at all. Any suggestions (even if it is to have my head examined)? Thanks ...

Re: Little Big Horn!
Odenathus, I admit I had serious doubts about this scenario when I saw the announcement, but within the limitation of the game engine you have created something outrageously fun to play and you captured some of the proper period feel. Well done. I made a custom sound and music folder replacing the E...

Re: I love P&S engine
I too love it - especially for those moments when control departs! I have watched my enemy collapse before me after a long slog and I have matched my own lads run for hills: it just feels like the kind of this that one must face on a battlefield of that era. I also love the built-in mod-ability of t...

Re: Tailoring music to the period
I may be wrong but I had the impression just about anything - music included - you would want to modify could be done by dropping it into the individual campaign folders. I would ask Richard, but I do think this would apply to the music as well, with the added advantage of leaving well enough alone ...

Well-Armed Archers
I started a new game of Flodden 1513 and all my archers - both English and Scottish - are now packing heat. Anyone else experience this? I think it is a problem with the sound assignment but I don't know if it is in the SQUADs file of the archers .txt. I replaced the text and resumed the game, but t...

Re: Extra Nations Campaign Mod Version 2
Paul,
I test drove one of the Venetian armies and it was very fun, as you said. Looked great, too. My opponent was a large Imperial army: lots of good keils vs. massed arquebusiers and good cavalry. Fun for the whole family. Thanks again.
