Re: Sun Hero
Speaking of the scenario, where does its name come from? According to this source , "[Rommel's] martial renown was deliberately fostered—shamelessly by both himself and as Hitler’s hand-picked choice of only two soldiers whom he made into popular heroes—'one in the sun and one in the snow.' Ro...

Re: Recruitment for Season 2 will open on Monday 14 May
Dear Pete, everybody, it turns out I won't be able to commit myself to the second season, there's too much going on ... life happens. So I'm using this opportunity to say that I'm sorry to let it go, as I enjoyed the first season a lot. Best of luck to the organiser(s) and all the rest of you guys. ...

Re: The Discussion thread . . .
Dear all,
I'm in a busy period in life, privately and professionally, so I decided to skip this one (though I'd like to try the KO format at one point). Have fun, hope to see you again in the next season of the league.

Re: The Rally Point
I'm joining the ranks of those singing praise to the organisation :) great communication throughout. I enjoyed my first ever season. While not necessary to separate players, as you say, I do like the bonus point system. At least the losing bonus point is a good consolation, making close defeats less...

Division A
Last result in before the closing
mhladnik (Romans) beat hidde (Armenians - Tigranes) in an amazing match, closest I've ever played, 62-59. Simply amazing to play, thanks Hidde. I'm sorry again, 1 turn from the end, a tie or a draw would be just as deserved.

Re: Classical Antiquity: winners post your results here
Division A I have the honour to report another victory, the Antigonids defeated the Romans led by wolf blitzee 69-42. Thank you for the game, it was a truly epic match (I guess all defeats of the strong Roman opponent usually are), we both deserved some points. So many great tactical and strategic m...

Re: The Rally Point
Well, not with calculating tiebreakers, of course, as they are obviously none - but the difference at the end determines the bonus points. With no provisions in place, giving up early in a match you know you're going to lose guarantees you a losing bonus point; giving up before the opponent passes t...
