No worries, I know that there is no AI out there that can match an experienced human opponant :) I just wanted to know if as much attention and ressources will be devoted to the single player mode (AI) as with the improved multiplayer; you see I dont have time for multiplayer that much and more of a...

I was thinking buying ToW but seems this one is an improvement I will wait for it; definitly good looking game. As I see it will feature advanced stuff for multiplayer, will the single player mode be as good?

That's a good gesture, considering that Canada contributed the equivalent of a single Corps in Europe, that's just a drop in the ocean compared to the massive armies of the Eastern front :) They lost like 42 000 men in the whole war, that's something to think about in comparison of the casualities o...

Like I said in another post, I dont have anything against a linear campaign, but, I would like a generator or something to improve replayability; replayability was the only weakness in the original PG. Games are way more expensive these days than in the 90's and todays wargamers often expect a littl...

Panzer General was one of the first strategy game I played in the old days, and it has a special place in my heart. The only thing "negative" I had with PG was replayability; the finite campaign meant that when you managed to play it like 10 times you had explored the different outcomes. W...

These are great and very informative, good job. Next one will cover the Ottomans and will be also very interesting in my opinion. Are you going to cover Italy and Bulgarians/Romanians in other dev reports?

I agree more options is always better than less, however I understand the reasoning of the developers concerning game mechanics. The option should be available but with a "warning" in the manual that playing with FoW off will affect game mechanics and overall experience; that would be an a...

We are designing the AI to deal with several fronts - in a dynamic way, so even if you open a new front they should act accordingly. Based on required and available strength on each front they will behave differently. AI is still in early design phase though, so cannot really claim it is great, but...

Don't neglect secondary fronts

With CEAW, the AI was pretty good on the Eastern Front, less on the Western Front, and almost dead in the Mediteranean and Africa. I do hope AI will be effecient in the Middle-East, Caucasus, African colonies, Salonica and so on and not only on the Western and Eastern Fronts. Can,t wait to play this...

Cool screenshots indeed. A suggestion is to make possible to produce 2 kinds of artillerie: field artillery that would be more mobile but less effective (French Canon de 75, German 77 etc..) and siege/heavy artillery, very cumbersome but with lots of smashing power. That was the two kind of artiller...

Re: WW1 gamers are getting spoiled

Ageod with their fantastic gold version and now this! I'm obsessed with WW1 history...so any game covering that War is great news to me. I only hope it replicates WW1 combat...the mechanism in the Ageod title using combat doctrines works well to replicate the movement war and then trench warfare. I...

That is very good; I did remember when I bought Commander Europe at War a few years ago, I was suggesting a WW 1 game on the Commander engine, and some other wise guy said "WW1 games are suicide because of trench warfare it doesnt work" I hope this goof will see what is going on now. And I...

Battlefront annouced SC 2 Pacific theater. 8) I dont own SC 2 as I prefered to go with CEAW, however I may give a try on this one, playable and good looking Pacific theater games are not very common.

Yeah, Manstein is hot on the offensive, as well as Rommel and Guderian. I like to have Kesselring in Normandy as it is a more defensive front, he has a nice defensive bonus.

I usually invest in the two areas that I think are the most important for Italy: In infantry and General (for organization and Industry).
