Re: At which point should I stop attacking?
I agree that in general Stauffenberg is right that fast conquest is best. But there are some other things to consider. Experience is also important. In the case of Poland for example, you will almost always take Poland on the second term using a fraction of your forces. You will also reach a turn wh...

Re: An easy way to solve the reloading problem
Sort of bears out my observations doesn't it Morris? Maybe what we should do is limit the variations to + or - 10%. Why do we need wild results at all? What do they simulate? The British defeat of the Italians in the early stages of the war that resulted from the Italians placing their fortified poi...

In reference to the AI for the great war, I reckon you don't need much intelligence to order your men to march directly at machine guns HAR HAR>

Re: Successful Sealion Still Possible (3.1)?
It wont matter if the brits are suffering from a -30 to -40 morale penalty, and their income is mostly from convoys that can be interdicted. I have come close to wiping them from the map (except in Canada) in the past. I have chased the RN across the atlantic like an avenging angel. My dream is to s...

Re: Successful Sealion Still Possible (3.1)?
Wow, you defeatists should be shot. Russia is only strong cuz invasion is - usually - delayed till 42 unless Sealion does very well in 40. Once London and Liverpool are taken, it becomes a mopping up operation that doesn't require large forces - maybe 2-3 inf, 1 mech and leader and a couple of tacs ...

Re: Successful Sealion Still Possible (3.1)?
that is somewhat true. I'm not sure if a determined sealion is unstoppable. I stopped one if 40 and then again in 41 by the same player who took abnormally light casualties in France. It was very costly for Britain (I stored a war trunk of PP in anticipation which thwarted him, but crippled Briatin ...

I haven't found that. There is a British solution to sealion but it is costly, and again I would show you, not tell you.

Re: Barbarossa balance in GS 3.1
But its true Germany lost the war when it abandoned the drive on Moscow to envelop the Ukraine. It's capture, while perhaps not war ending, would have pretty much cut the country in two since the north south rail lines ran through there. It would have at least delayed the Russian rebound, perhaps lo...

Re: Barbarossa balance in GS 3.1
Directive 21 saw as its objective establishing a defensive line "Archangelsk - Volga" against Asiatic Russia. This would of course mean Moscow would be this side of it. Moscow was an objective.
