Re: Aiming Accuracy enhancements questions
Sinemore which units do the recon 11's provide 32% accuracy? thanks for the input That is with two 11-strength recons and Deep Recon (part of the argument for using that trait in SCW), as each recon will provide a (11 + 5 = 16) 16% bonus, and as they all stack additively the two of them together pr...

Re: Aiming Accuracy enhancements questions
Even with the significantly slower experience gains in AO, recons can hit 2.5 stars in 3 scenarios w/o relying on heroes; these can then be converted to 1.5 star tanks. Admittedly this requires some rather gamey tactics, but c'est la vie . On a related note, the accuracy bonuses provided are all sta...

Re: Aiming Accuracy enhancements questions
what's the difference between step and level or is step experience stars? Step, strength or point of strength; it's the current strength value of the unit. The level is the experience level, with the first bonus awarded at level 1 (or 1 star). For example, a 13-strength 4 star recon will provide an...

Re: Aiming Accuracy enhancements questions
It's 1% per step, 3% per level, 5% for the trait and 10% for the hero.

Re: Uphill Battle
FWIW I don't think Arrogant is the problem here, as when I tested Uphill Battle the prediction didn't take the increased stats into account -- they aren't even visible outside of the combat log in the first place, so you'll have to keep track of them yourself. Looking at log it seems you were about ...

Re: Please include a campaign tree w/ each AO
While a clunky method, dalfrede is right. On Steam you can use manage and browse local files to access the PzC 2 directory, then find script.lua in the Content\Campaigns\X folder, where X is the campaign you're interested in, e.g., if you want a list of the SCW scenarios you can check the Content\Ca...

Re: Gameplay mechanics questions
The icons are different, so just by looking at the destination hex should tell you. The general rule is that travelling more than 66% of the organic transport's maximum range* prevents deployment, unless you have a hero or trait that can circumvert the limitation. Move and attack actions are reset, ...

Re: Grand Encirclement
Pretty much. Cutting the supply line to units results in their being automatically suppressed over time (2 steps per turn, or 4 with Deadly Grasp), and eventually they will be fully suppressed and unable to fight at all. You'll still have to attack them to trigger a surrender, though (and they canno...

Re: Grand Encirclement
Grand encirclement is just a fancy name for a large-scale encirclement that traps a large portion or even the bulk of the enemy forces in a scenario; most of the time encirclements are just tactical, with a dozen or so enemies trapped at most. The Wehrmacht campaign offers a few good opportunities,...

They are very good, and continue to get better as the DLC progress, to maintain the promise of the ability to successfully begin any new DLC campaign with the pre-set force at your disposal. Aww, shouldn't we have the masochistic exercise, err, challenge of playing the '44 GC East w/o an imported c...

Re: Some thoughts and a question
I noticed that replacements are not free anymore in between scenarios for the campaign? Is this accuRATE? Only on Major. They are cheaper than in-battle reinforcements, though. ...how do I tell the difference between core units and auxiliary units? Core units have a gold chevron on their strength p...

Re: Question about Auxilary Force trait
Probably. IIRC SCW is the only campaign where you get free auxiliary slots that stack with those from Auxiliary Force, but even so the trait is so overpowered it's definitely worth it. As for Brighton, if you're leveraging the trait it's better to disband a few ships, because some -- like the Graf Z...

Re: Spain, Brunette Scenario
Sounds like the softlock that occurs if you modify the turn limit in defensive scenarios. Are you playing with the turn limit disabled or with Guderian (Race Against Time) on? If so you'll have to use the console to progress.

Re: Proposal - Rebalance Prestige
would it fix it for everyone ifwe had the means to manually change our prestige at any time? Indeed, imagine if there were a console command one could use  I consider the sliders very useful to keep the game interesting over time... That is a separate issue, though. I'd love to be ab...

Re: Proposal - Rebalance Prestige
All this talk about sliders is bizarre; what would introducing them do to alleviate the problem with excess prestige? If you understand game mechanics, you'll drown in prestige on Generalissimus as well, so increasing the penalty to 80% by means of a slider while dodging the AI's accuracy bonus solv...

Re: AO Army ToW
The Denied X traits are the most obviously abusable ones in the DLC campaigns (Killer Team is the only one that is comparable, as getting up to three super heroes permanently for a temporary cost is immense), but that possibility does add an opportunity cost to Auxiliary Force; if you pick Denied Ai...

Re: 1940 GM UB HS
Modifiers are applied as part of combat calculation, so they apply to all enemy units, including newly spawned ones. Oh, that is brutal. That means that a regular T-26 will have 18 SA, 19 HA, 13 initiative, 18 GD and a base accuracy of 100% on Generalissimus by turn 25 at the Battle of the Ebro (50...
