Re: Hero abilities tier list

Exactly. Moreover, you aren't guaranteed to get any of those heroes in a campaign. I'm nearly through my historical campaign in the base game and I've never gotten a hero with Envelopment, Overwhelming Attack, First Strike, or Rapid Fire. You probably had a lot more fun than if you did get them.. S...

Re: Hero abilities tier list

there are ridiculous combos that breaks the game, out of which - vigilant+ignore entrenchment on a tank - envelopment + overwhelming attack on e.g. a recon ESPECIALLY coupled scavenger - first strike+rapid fire on a fighter are by far the most ridiulous. im sure there are many other combos which ma...

Re: Double Attack Hero

In the base game, I've found that the Double Attack hero also works extremely well on powerful artillery like the 21 cm guns and the Gustav Gun. I've also observed that the Overrun hero works on artillery as well... unless you use said artillery to sink a naval target. Then Overrun doesn't trigger. ...

Re: The good, the bad, and the ugly

Finally, apropos of your Panzer IIIJ  Panzer IIIJ/1 example (and tanks in general), I wouldn't call +2 hard attack a "slight" increase in performance. Going from 16 to 18 hard attack and gaining 1 initiative can make the difference in whether you can actually damage T-34s (and capt...

Re: The good, the bad, and the ugly

OK, I made a mistake of mentioning the music. I don't like it because it does not reflect the fact that you ply a German. PzC 1 was more historically accurate - German campaigns ha German music, Soviet campaign Russian, etc. I'd rather hear answers to my other questions, though. It isn't a mistake ...

Re: The First Nemesis: Comandante Vega

I would take being overly ambitious over extra timid every time. If the first DLC didn't show the game trying to grow and expand, it sends the terrible, terrible message that what you see is what you will get for the rest of Panzer Corps 2's lifespan. Endless missions of 'Capture all Victory Hexes'...

i figured out where to attack from. shout out to Nexus and Fluffy for your advice and info. wondered why my railgun and Gustav took damage but kept blowing the hell outta people. never thought about making such great use of the repair hero! Some of those forts have guns that can reach out to three ...

Re: good old Stalingrad

what r the bonus objectives and do i need to cross the river? if so, where and how do i get boats? thanks You could cross the Volga with Fallschirmjaeger, but that is generally a bad idea. There is an annoying 203mm gun on the other bank of the river, but I usually prefer to kill it with aircraft (...

Re: Is it better to destroy one unit or weaken several?

If you're trying to minimize losses and be turn-efficient, fully killing off the most possible units is more effective than weakening all units. The enemy's prestige pool is big enough that they will be able to reinforce during their turn, partially negating your previous turn. As far as I know, th...

Re: Losing the entire game due to missing by one or two turns is garbage.

Not quite a fix. A more dynamic option for a turn penalty is a much better idea. Not really- what you want is more time my solution give a you that. But it gives unlimited time, that is NOT what I want. My idea is much better along with a good dynamic victory scale for turns finished, this would be...

Re: CAPTURED UNIT

I apologise if this seems like an obvious question, but do you have at least 10 of that particular unit type captured? Remember that you can only deploy captured non-infantry units when you have accumulated at least ten of a particular type, and there is no way to put captured infantry into circulat...

Re: What can clobber ships?

Question- just to digress, can any naval experts here tell us why historically around a thousand crewmen were killed when the Tirpitz was sunk in the Norwegian fiord? I've got two books about the sinking and have googled around but still can't find an answer. I mean, the Tirpitz had 36 guns of all ...
