Re: Achievement doesnt get unlocked
Sorry, but I never said "endscn0" would get the achievement, just unlock the higher difficulties. Hopefully support can help you out, if we can't. I got the achievement playing GC '39 on FM. Never played the vanilla Wehrmacht campaign, since it mirrored the original Panzer General, so I'm ...

Re: Achievement doesnt get unlocked
Just console command thought it with CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + C and when the window opens up, enter "endscn0". I know you are against it, but you have already legitimately achieved it and your cries for support are falling on ears long gone. This will at least give you Rommel, Manstein and Gud...

Re: Traps
All good help, thank you. I am pretty good about recapturing victory hexes with recon and letting the AI attack into very unfavorable odds against artillery supported units. Piatek '39 and Arras in '40 come to mind. I've seen Braccada use his Marders as bait and StuGs as a "hard" shoulder ...

Re: Close Terrain
The lower initiative of towed AT, PaK 38 and PaK 40 so far, has been fairly effective at holding hills. Thank you for the advice. Supported by a Nebelwerfer or a 10.5cm, with high ROF and good soft attack has been a good infantry deterrent, unless it rains. Thanks captainjack for the suggestion of l...

Traps
Is there an in depth guide on setting up traps? I do ok setting up air traps, with bombers or some juicy artillery, but struggle with setting up vision ambushes. Any advice on this? I think I push too hard sometimes and always try to get the most ground covered as quickly as possibly. Perhaps it wou...

Re: Close Terrain
Good stuff, gentlemen. I never thought about the towed AT in that position. Seems likely to still be attacked by most Soviet infantry, however. Fallschirmjager with a defense hero seems like the answer I was looking for. I'll have to try it out. Thank you for the help.

Re: Close Terrain
They have the advantage of alpine movement that ignores hills/mountain, so they are easier to get in position. I enjoy using a few of them, but any infantry, including grenadiers, seem to take heavier losses in hills versus any other close terrain type. A T-34 or KV-1 will attack a 3* infantry in hi...

Close Terrain
Long time player and creeper on the forums. I love the game and have been addicted since I started out on Allied General 20 years ago. I have been trying to play an optimized GC East and have been struggling with one thing, hills. I try to always have infantry in close terrain and almost all other u...
