Yes, you are not supposed to assault Lodz from the front, but from the rear, as suggested in the briefing. Actually, the auxiliary units you have to save (should you go for the decisive victory) are scouts from the 10th army and have uncovered the weakness of the Lodz fortification system. An encirc...

DLCs (at least in the beginning) have more lenient turn limits, generally easier decisive victory conditions and usually, very easy moderate victory conditions. Plus, as the others said, by spending more time in a given period, you get to know your units and your opponents strengths and weakness bet...

Basically, if I understood correctly (still stumped at Vyazma, hehe) you take Moscow just before the arrival of the (historical) fresh Far East and Siberian reinforcements, and are forced (offscreen) to pull back as they arrive. I believe the developpers have already said alternate history (like in ...

Simferopol colonel level, 41 DLC beta imported core That scenario was significantly easier than the two previous ones, but I think it has a lot to do with the composition of my core, very tank heavy (especially with the awesome freshly upgraded IVG and freshly captured T34/41), with one marder and o...

Second Battle of Kharkov Colonel, imported 41(beta) core While not as unique as Vitbesk, another very enjoyable and challenging scenario. Like many others, I used three mostly independant groups : - one at the center taking the brunt of the soviet offensive. It was pretty clear from the beginning th...

Hi everyone, happy new year, and sorry for the late testing, was a pretty hectic month of december. Vitebsk, colonel (default) level, using my imported 41 beta core (ie 41 default core played through the 41 campaign on the beta, I think I described it in the appropriate thread) Frankly, for a starte...

CapitanPiluso, are you trying to approach/scout Kutno, or to take Piatek ? Those actions will trigger an enormous counterattack of Polish forces, and neither is needed for even a DV. In doubt : bypass the Lodz fortifications (you can flank from the north, the south, or even better, both), and only t...

A) Colonel B) I save once every turn, just in case. It's an habit I took during the betas, so I can experiment. Aside from testing, I do not reload often but occasionally (like in case of a core unit loss with a succession of unlucky RNG rolls). C) Depends. I think I lost 2? core units in DLC39 (rel...

I know I am in the minority here, but I did actually appreciate the Greece and Kiev scenarios with reduced cores. Epic, massive scale scenarios, with an enormous number of units are great, but they are even more special and meaningful if they alternate with smaller scale, shorter scenarios. Pacing i...

Generally speaking : don't elite reinforce during scenarios at all. It's ok to elite reinforce during deployment phase (at half price), but only if you have plenty to spare, and only if your core is completely build up (and units upgraded if applicable). You are right, priorize buying units. Looking...

Hmmm strange you had trouble, I felt this scenario was actually easier than Piatek or Kampinoska forest. Although I guess it depends a lot on your core. Basically, you'll need to field a ton of suppression power : - lots of artillery (at this point in the game, in comparison, I had 2 towed and 2 SP ...
