For me on hardest difficulty Overstrenght long range bombers with double attack works great. York goes down in 2 rounds.
If you have consolidator it gets even better

In Kummersdorf training if you try to train units with over 4000 XP after first attack XP counter is reset to 4000 and in next turns you do not gain xp for this unit.
So beware of using over 4 stars units in this mission - you will lose XP and not gain it.
