Re: German Arty doesn't provide direct support against a tank attack?
A lot of player maybe havent notice this as the O/P didnt seem to see all units have their own traits .. Some arty will support fire when an adjacent unit is attacked with soft attack . Some arty will support fire when adjacent unit is attacked with hard attack .. Some will support fire when adjace...

Re: German Arty doesn't provide direct support against a tank attack?
I disagree, I far prefer lighter artillery for their lower slot consumption. I need my arty to break entrenchment, not do damage.
pretty much my point when I complain it devalues the role of an SIG33 as a nearly front line support unit.

Re: German Arty doesn't provide direct support against a tank attack?
This is NOT about the ability of towed AT guns "AT support" to respond against a tank that attacks my friendly tank. This is about the same trait "AT support" that is given to heavy division guns which doctrinally are in the rear, to fire in direct lay if adjacent to a friendly t...

German Arty doesn't provide direct support against a tank attack?
I thought the whole purpose of using the SIG33 Sturmpanzer (Bison) was to mechanize the SIG33 gun so that it could provide direct Arty support to spearheads. But when I look at the units, I see that only the division heavy bn of 150mm howitzers can assist my front line units against a tank attack an...

random game suggestion 2
the surviving force from a random fight should be available, subject slot and prestige limits, as a starting force in another random fight
this would allow a gamer to chain together fights in a pseudo campaign

Random Game Suggestion (not a bug)
players should be allowed to select a year for the fight.
also pick the opponent or random
that would allow you to fight the Polish Army in a meeting engagement in 1939

Re: Unable to access DLC Scenarios
VPaulus,
whatever it was has resolved itself. I now can see the scenarios and launch at least the ones I tried. both from my desktop and from the steam menu.
damned if I know. I swear it wasnt the operator, as shown by the screen shots

Re: Unable to access DLC Scenarios
OK, I did what you recommended. No luck. To expand on the symptoms, I can neither 1. open a DLC save game 2. see any scenarios on the game start menu or 3. start any main game by hitting the expansion icons. meaning, I can see the 5 major campaigns of the basic PC game , e.g. 39-45, 41-45, etc AND P...

Unable to access DLC Scenarios
2 days ago, I had access to ongoing DLC scenarios. Now, when I open up the saved game list, none of the games will launch When I go to the new game menu, I can see the basic game, but no DLC's appear. I use Steam. I can see on Steam that the scenarios were bought and installed I have tried uninstall...

Allied Corps Main Page Art (Helmet)
On the opening page of AC, there is an image of 4 GI's going ashore on a beach with steel hedgehog obstacles. Why are the GI's wearing German helmets? American steel helmets till 1980 had no "Fritz" ear flaps. They were all uniform around the entire circle of the hemisphere. I wore one...

Re: Two quick questions
Often times the number of friendly airfields is limited and halves your effective airpower usage. In developing your scenario attack plan, make note of the airfields and make sure you seize at least one along the route early. In some games, airfields are more valuable to you than victory hexes...

Re: The Lysander
it shows up in COBRA as a non core unit. Don't make fun of the plane ;) It was mainly used to land SOE and OSS agents in France. Even ballsier than flying around unarmed... In August 1941 a new squadron, No. 138 (Special Duties), was formed to undertake missions for the Special Operations Executive ...

The Lysander
The Lysander is a British "Army Cooperation" plane. Think US Piper Cub (L-4) Anyway it is unarmed and used as aerial Recon. So no weapons = no kills = no experience? How does it get better? or hero's? Flying an unarmed plane behind enemy lines is heroic :) 800px-Westland_Lysander-B-MA.jpg
