Re: Hidden Enemy Troops Rallying
As a new FOG player, I would have had more difficulty understanding "routing" percentage if it did not match exactly the units I know routed. I am very much against "routing percentage" changing "mid-turn" just because hidden units are seen, as it is not really realisti...

Re: How to deal with exponential player growth? (soft cap, etc)
I liked Panzer General 3D solution : Each unit has between 8 and 15 HP. Technologies "just released" get 8 HP, then it is increased to 10 or even 12 for common units, and then 15 if it was an historical work-horse. There was also a limit in the number of each units you could have, just to ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #8
I welcome additional rules to enhance naval warfare, but I fear that the developers may be taking it too far at the expense of simplicity and fun. I have played Order of Battle and got frustrated and annoyed by all the overly picky rules regarding naval units. (Same is true with some regarding grou...

Another way would be to make super heavy artillery lose 2 energy point by shoot, which would represent how complex those were to reload.

Re: FUTURE of ORDER OF BATTLE
I expect the soviet campaign: -part 1: before the storm. Training camp at spanish civil war, then crush japanese at khalkhyn gol, attack poland from behind. Of course winter war is the last -part2: for motherland 1941-1943. Till battle of stalingrad -part3: liberation. End at battle of berlin or ma...

Re: FUTURE of ORDER OF BATTLE
I haven't played EndSieg and I don't plan to play it. I played too much "Germany invades the world" (all the Panzer General up to PG3D, Panzer Corps, Panzer Tactics HD, Strategic Command, Decisive Campaigns, Unity of Command, + the various mobile games - I am all done with the Eastern Fron...

By the way Calmhatchery, you used the wrong flag in your map for Italy. Ww2 flag had the house of Savoy coat of arm in the middle.

Re: FUTURE of ORDER OF BATTLE
In addition to the French campaign I proposed above (and ignored :) ) I think it can be expanded beyond WWII on several wars that are NOT static : -Russian Civil War (Southern White campaign, Siberian White campaign, and Red Mega campaign) - Vietnamese War (esp. as Vietnamese, where you beat first t...

French Campaign : Act I : Prelude : Early 1939 / 1940 battles (Norway, Arras, Dunkirk) Act II : Death or Dishonor : Choose between Vichy (Dakar, Syria, Madagascar, Torch) or Free French (Kufra, also Syria but on the other side :), Bir-Hakeim, Tunisia). At the end of it, as historically, the Free Fre...

Panzer General 3 SE had a double layer : - Limit in the number of units of a given type you could have, eg only 1 Tiger, after that you fall back on the 2 Panther, and if you need more tanks it will be the Panzer IV. - In addition, the "max strenght" of units depended on the unit itself. T...

Re: Panzer Corps 2
Reason to have less good units. Currently, the only reason to prefer say a Panzer IVG over a Tiger is the Soft Cap, which is an heresy of game design and a trap to anyone without a deep understanding of the game. I found Panzer General 3 had a way better way to handle this, which a double limit : ho...

If there was ever a Panzer Corps II
Hey, I am a huge fan of the game, which really have this "one more turn" feel. I bought all expansions except Soviet Corps... so far :) There are 3 items that I loved in Panzer General 3 Scotched Earth that I find missing in Panzer Corps : - Max strength [health] of a unit depending on rar...
