AAR: OzHawkeye V MarkClark (no MarkClark allowed)

Well, I received a PM from him 24th of May, so he was able to operate a personal computer at that time at least.

I'd love to a) be able to decide how many replacement steps to allocate to a unit, rebuilding it over time. b) have separate replacement steps pools for minor countries. Since Hungarian, Rumanian, Finnish, Bulgarian forces are much weaker than German forces, they don't get replacements. Avalon Hill'...

Yes, a replay function is on top of my wishlist too. To watch your opponent's turn unfold is one of the most thrilling parts of PC wargaming. Come on, guys: go for it!

Not Rommel, more the Graziani!

Is there anybody here who isn't the second &*&*^ing coming of Erwin Rommel? In all the games I am playing, every time I get a new turn, I have 30% fewer units, and no idea what happened because it is impossible to follow along. Ok, MarkClark. I know what you mean. ;-) I'm fairly new to this...

I agree with Gabriele. The problem with an abstract rule like the MSR is FoW. Both sides have info on this abstract limit, which off course was not the case in reality, and gives the Allies an edge. If the Axis decides to go for broke in Africa, is that a problem? As has been said here, the Allies h...

New Mod oil rule for Germany

Where do I download it and how do I implement it in the mod? Quite an important improvement to the game, obviously.

Great AAR

Thx to Mr. Plow for a great AAR! I'm playing the dreaded jjdenver myself now, and he's a mean one on the battlefield! Kudos!
And cheers to the guys creating the Mod, which has turned this game into a truely GREAT game. There's no playing vanilla when you've tasted the real thing!

FTRs in cities

If you play with the entire set of BJR houserules, that TAC based in Copenhagen (screenshot 2) is off limits, since cities, resources and forts are prohibited as air bases. I guess you owe Ronnie 1 oil... ;-)

MOD PRAISE

There's no going back to vanilla when you start playing the Mod. It's THAT much better in all respects - esp. in the realism department. Having people like BJR around is a blessing for every game company! - and keeps a game a living organism. Cheers!

Oslo attack

That will provide supply level 1 so the German infantry units can move next turn. Yes, but if the attack fails, both units will be OOS next turn, right? I quite agree that Oslo should have a port, off course. Anyway, the possibility of supplying units from the air would enhance the game (the Mod!). ...

Supply in Norway

With the MOD placement of the port in Oslo, German corps are doomed to attack out of supply, it seems. Am I wrong? Maybe the game needs
some provision for enabling air supply? Stalingrad, anybody? Korsun pocket? Borger?
