Hello there
Anyone up for a PBEM game? I am new to this game but an experienced strategy player. I might be slow with turns the first week but after a lot faster one turn or more per day.
I can play any scenario or campaign.
Is there a challange out there?
Best regards Crazyg

Re: GS v3.01 slight modifications for testing
Hi I didn´t have time to read all the posts. But have the Russian oil stock been changed? Crazyg it seems from 200 to 600 at the beginning of 1942 Barbarosa . So you have to reconsider your new strategy when 3.01 launched . :) But it is great in our present game ! :D It´s actually not my strategy, ...

Hello
Giving this a shot but it seems that the adress is the same on both computers and nothing really happens when you try to connect or join a game.
Anyone know anything about this?
Any help would be apreciated

Re: Anyone to play GS 3.0
Hi there
I would like to give TCP/IP a shot, your still up for it? I know that the TCP/IP has not been updated to the 3.0 so we might have trouble with it. But i am willing to give it a shot and perhaps we can work it out.
What do you say? Or i am up for a regular game as well any side

Re: When do city/capital air defense factors apply
Ahh...so the air defense value in a city is not added to the ground unit if attacked by air? But you always seem to take higher air losses when attacking a fortress or a capital city....

Re: When do city/capital air defense factors apply
The defense factors, air defense, survivabilty is applied to any ground units in the city hex. So it is a good bonus. It makes cities, capitols and fortresses much harder to capture as you probably noticed.
It doesn´t give air units any extra factors in air combat. On ground i am not sure, might be.

Re: Italian Lab Strategies - Pros/Cons
I think you have covered most of the areas that needs answereing then it is really up to your strategy. If i go for a overall "close the Med" strategy, i tend to focus more on Naval and Air research. But in addition i always fo Inf research as well no matter what strategy. But perhaps not ...

Re: Do Partisans ever spawn in Danzig?
Don´t over do partisan duty, it shouldn´t affect your over all strategy that much. For instance i rarely build Gar to partisan duty and you should spend your pps at other more important things. If in control of a vast territory i usually build gar with Italy instead.

Re: German fighter losses before 42
I have the same feeling. But I am used since it is usually my 2 FTRs vs. 3-4 on Allied side (+CV). This is referring to France. But anyway I also see the organization difference to have little impact on the combat. Usually my Russian FTRs are not that inferior to Axis' even in 1942. Even if tech an...

Do you get lower odds when intercepted as a "surprize" penalty? Are the odds ever change in any condition in air to air combat?

Norway plan is as you say bad weather. I think it´s around 25% chance of bad weather and you can´t land. But no harm, you can return transports to port without loosing anything but a few oil points Correct about the airplane research. In some cases it can be worth not to focus on fighter if you are ...

You are being a bit harsh i think
The point i am trying to make is that the german fighters suffer more losses than they should early in the war

German fighter losses before 42
This is something i wanted to adress for a long time to see if i am the only one noticing.... German fighter losses are always higher than the allies during 1940 campaigns in France and further on....I have checked for some time now and i find that around 80-90% of the time this is true. How can thi...
