Should units show the attack/defence ratings of Generals?

Post by OxfordGuy3 »

Unless I'm missing something, when you assign a general with a +1 attack or defence rating to a unit, this doesn't show anywhere on the unit, not even on a tool tip - is this mean to happen? Do these factors still work? Also, what stats does Rundstedt actually have, does he have any +1 attack/defence? Thanks!

Select a unit that has a leader attached. If you mouse-over the leader image (in lower-left panel) a tooltip will appear. If the tooltip does not show you can turn that on in the options area. The info displayed is Quality, pluses for attack and/or defense, command range.

The attack / defense bonuses are automatically added to the unit the leader is with.

Rundstedt does not have an attack or defense bonus, only leadership.

Okay. It's a pity the attack/defense bonuses from leaders don't show on the large counters nor on the detailed unit stats, though...

The numbers on the counters show the current value of different stats, not bonuses. E. g. Guards and SS units don't show bonuses either. They show the increased value.

The increase of the bonus will show in the unit panel after a unit is selected. (with attached leader)

Ah yes, you're correct - I missed this as the affected stat is not highlighted (e.g. like it is for Mud etc.)

Checked out that increased combat values, because of an attached attacking or defending commander, are also showed in large counters.
