This is one feature that i find strange. It gives an advantage ok,as if the defender has chosen the place where to accept the battle, however why a Hill? Hills give lots of advantages. It does feel a lot like a British point of view (Wellingtons prefered way of doing battle). And then itwas just not...

I know of tournaments ( outside UK ) that are NOT organised this year because of ...waiting for V2 .....so let's wait but if people switch to another rule they will not come back . at the big US conventions are very well attended, they have amazing tables to play on and many of the armies are beautifully presented. That synergy brings in new players. I just don't see that in the ancient gaming community. I love Madaxeman's battle reports. But the table top terrain that I see ...

Well Romans rarely won against pikes frontaly.
they won on the flanks and disrupted the pikes like that.

Ambiorix, paint 15 mm ....it is fast....just try, i did paint a Prussian corps in 2 months...and i am starting to paint the optional troops like guards and freicorps now.
