Re: ao'45 and pacific status
They just updated the Pacific's posts in Steam discussions in a way that looks like it's being delayed (yet again) past the "summer" release window Slitherine had suggested just a couple months ago
Hope I'm misinterpreting that, but I'm not sure why they would change it like that otherwise

It's probably gonna come out past the summer. Maybe August or September.Sequester Grundleplith, MD wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2023 9:02 pm They just updated the Pacific's posts in Steam discussions in a way that looks like it's being delayed (yet again) past the "summer" release window Slitherine had suggested just a couple months ago

Re: ao'45 and pacific status
I don't think the Pacific has been further delayed during the last few months. I estimated the release be in September/October when they talked about summer release a few months ago . You were just interpreting the "summer" release too optimistically, like in August or even earlier.Sequester Grundleplith, MD wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2023 9:02 pm They just updated the Pacific's posts in Steam discussions in a way that looks like it's being delayed (yet again) past the "summer" release window Slitherine had suggested just a couple months ago

In software development with already delayed products like Pacific, you should add 25-50% more time to the optimal estimates we were given.
Re: ao'45 and pacific status
summer for most people is Q3 so July-September. They could release it on September 31st and technically still be "summer". Still have a good 5 months to go i bet.

Re: ao'45 and pacific status
The header post in the Steam discussion on Pacific has been changed (after they predicted release this summer) to:
"...Development is ongoing, but at a slower pace; however, we want to reassure you that it is still our plan to release it as soon as realistically possible.
Thank you for being so patient and for the continued support for Panzer Corps 2; we’ll keep you posted.
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the recent multiplayer and future Axis Operations updates."
To me, that doesnt seem to project any confidence about a release in the next five months

Re: ao'45 and pacific status
I saw the Steam thread as well. I am very excited for the Pacific theater but I figured it would simply have to wait a few more months/years. At least they gave us an update and a reassurance that they are still working on it, so we are not left in the dark, as is sometimes the case.
That said, I can't wait to finally say good bye to the Atlantic front and its sempiternal snowy Russian plains and grindy Normandy bocage, and at last send my torpedo bombers to sink the Japanese battleships in some good old naval battles near Midway and Guadalcanal. Very interested to see how it will compare with Order of Battle.
Plus I'm very excited at the prospect of finally playing the Allies. I know that for many, playing the Axis is a strong point in favor of PzC, but I'm a Sherman/Dauntless guy. And after all these years PzC2 really ought to make us play the other side. (Well, it doesn't ought anything, but I'm just impatient to play the Allies in something else than custom scenarios.)

Give us modern day version of People's GeneralPatrick Ward wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 9:39 pmIt's too early for us to give out any information. I would suggest look at the PzC1 releases and add on a few lesser fought wars. There aree ideas being mulled over and its always good to see what players are interested in.

I second this. It may be super underrated. I loved the game so much.PanzerCro wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 6:36 pmGive us modern day version of People's GeneralPatrick Ward wrote: ↑Tue Feb 28, 2023 9:39 pm

I remember two things from that game: you could daisy chain supply vehicles to deploy anywhere in the map. Also comanche in that game was OP, it would one shot entire tank units.PaxusZero wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 2:17 amI second this. It may be super underrated. Re: ao'45 and pacific status
The storyline and maps were fantastic!
Re: ao'45 and pacific status
My dream is AO West with Afrika Korps and maybe with Italy and Ardennes Offensive or alternative Sea Lion 1945.
Re: ao'45 and pacific status
Any new units/updated models for AO1945 release?
Re: ao'45 and pacific status
Time to re-do my AO playthroughs. I'm at Ebro in SCW now.
Aiming to do two files (historic and otherwise), and I'll pick up '45 when the commendations/cache topic is updated! HAH!
Really looking forward to seeing the conclusion, it's a long campaign and I think when I finish it I'll be watching for the Pacific and other theatre news instead.
