Div B

frederic02 Byzantine 988-1041 won against Vadim84 Arab conquest 638-684. 63-57

Très belle bataille acharnée qui a vu une courte victoire des Byzantins dans le dernier tour de jeu mais les Arabes auraient pu aussi l'emporter. Bravo à Vadim pour le combat livré

Div C

xxCLASHxx Indian 320-545AD was victorious - against mcfcivo Palmyran 258-273AD w Armenian 253-476AD allies

55 - 28 = 92 -28

Indians struggled to get to grips with the Palmyrans and their Roman infantry ran amok in the centre and destroyed the Indian army with ease, on the flanks the Indian Noble Lancers and eles managed to route the Cataphracts and leave both flanks exposed. It was a series of hard melees that saw both flanks of Palmyrans break and enabled the Indian horse to pick off the massed archers. Palmyrans were still solid in the middle and looked formidable but the Indians were too mobile and were able to route the remnants of the flanks.

Thank you mcfcivo for a great battle that swung each way.

Hi there, this is my first tournament and have come up against a couple of things I don't understand, the main one is that in one battle very well played by vakarr my army gave up with just 40% losses yet I usually have had to get up to 60% or near before my opponent gave up, is there some logic to this please?

Thanks

If the winning army has less than 25% losses, the opponent only has to get 40% losses to lose. Once both armies are over 25% losses, they have to get to 60% to lose.

Div C

Victory for Vakarr Thracian (Roman Client) 50BC-46AD+Roman 24BC-196AD ally vs xxCLASHXX Indian 320-545AD 41- 8

The Thracians survived the arrow storm and smashed the Indian centre. The flanks were a hard struggle but not enough in the end. The upgrade for the rhomphia men plus the ability of the Romans to stand up to elephants made the difference. Very hard for the Indians to win against my army. There wasn't any terrain that made any difference

Thank you Vakarr for explaining that and well done on a comprehensive win, I felt I had some points to get on your left as it was finally breaking down, it would not of changed the result but another 10 or 15 points would of been a good result after that mass route. Well played.
