So, wanted to hear some community thoughts on Slow Reaction, what it does, and how fun it may or may not be. In particular, I'd like to hear answers to the following points;
1: Do support units (AA/AT/ARTY) still provide support fire to units being attacked?
2: How does the AI respond to this trait when activated?
3: What difficulty would you recommend for a first-time tryout of this trait?
4: Is it FUN or not?
Thank you.

Question: How fun is Slow Reaction?
"Saying that because the equipment isn't up-to-the-minute, bleeding-edge tech, and therefore is not a threat, is like saying an M2 Browning isn't dangerous to modern infantry because it is 100 years old."

AI gets ultra agressiveCptJackSparrow1993 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 11:43 pm 2: How does the AI respond to this trait when activated?
That depends what ur playing on atm and how ur prestige gain is. u will need a lot more prestige to repair ur losses with the trait active.CptJackSparrow1993 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 11:43 pm 3: What difficulty would you recommend for a first-time tryout of this trait?
it completely changes the game. if getting beat up is fun or not is probably a very personal thing.

Re: Question: How fun is Slow Reaction?
1. Yes
2. nearly every enemy unit becomes highly agressive, even anti-tank guns move in for kills
3. the same you prefer to play without that trait, maybe 1 less difficulty in SCW, playing with inferior equipment that doenst shoot back makes SCW the most difficult DLC with this trait (ofc only in my opinion)
4. depends, the way you play this game will change drastically, you will need proper defence formations every single turn, or you will lose units/prestige
that is fun on most maps/missions, but it is extremly exhausting on some maps, in mid-/latewars there are some missions that become way harder
give it a try, if you enjoy it, keep on if not, cancel that playthrough. iy you consider it to easy comebine it with David vs Goliath and/or berserk rage and or that trait with double ammo cost per attack or less supply

Thanks for the replies, I've decided to give it a go and see what happens based on your feedback.
