Sorry that your opponent did not show up for round 3. This happens some times. There is nothing that can be done about it for this tournament. You will still earn points. Typical no-show points are 180 total. This will move you up significantly in the standings. This is one of the biggest problems with the tournaments but there is no easy solution to it. Hopefully you enjoyed your other matches and will join us again for the next tournament.

Re: Version 10 release tournament
My rnd 3 opponent appears to have no access to the game during the week as he only submits turns at the weekend. We should complete but if I was away this weekend as originally planned we wouldn't. It's tough either way but worse if your opponent just does not play at all.
Although it does present an idea to stop Admiral being top each time... All his opponents refuse to play

Hmm spoke to soon. No sign yet . This week and last week no turns in the weekday as I waited for my opponent.
Sigh.

It was my firt tournament and probably not the last: multiplayer is much more funny than playing against PC.AdmiralYamamoto wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2023 10:31 pmSorry that your opponent did not show up for round 3. Totally agree--95% of my OOB time has been in MP which is way more challenging. (when the AI starts to actually play well I may begin to actually believe all the hype around AI)
It is unfortunate that the campaigns are only against the AI...really wish there were MP versions. :-\

Well the fat lady has sung - and genuine congrats to the Admiral on his win. In fact I won't even mention the 50+ points I had deducted in the first round match due to my opponent's timing out and my being given the par score instead of what I'd already actually scored...
... Oops!
Seriously though, well done everyone, good and tough games as ever, and roll on the next tournament!

Yes Netballman, you definitely got screwed out of points in round 1 but it may have been to your advantage. You would have been facing me in Round two which may have significantly reduced your score. The developers definitely need to fix this scoring glitch. It not only affected your score but several matchups below you changed.
Thanks for playing everyone. I am looking forward to the next tournament.

Congrats Admiral!
Netballman, I'll have to investigate this further, do you remember how many turns you'd played and what your score was before we nerfed you?

Re: Version 10 release tournament
We were quite well on but not quite finished - about turn 13? - and the board was showing me at 230+ - 234 or 237 iirc. Redbird mentioned the last score of mine he'd seen in a post somewhere too, questioning what had happened.
It's ok, one of those rub-of-green things, but it does need fixing for the future. Please, never think we don't appreciate all the hard work that you and your compatriots put in for our benefit

Roll on the betting when the Admiral and I finally get to grips
