Medieval - Cannot validate ID.

Plus it takes for ages to come up with the error screen.

Exactly the same for me - cannot get on to MP for FoGII, FoG Medieval or FoG Medieval (Open Beta).
Other issue was several Gateway 504 timeouts while trying to log-in to post on this forum.

Problems too, on Ancients as well as Medieval:

Ancients: "Corrupt or invalid response from server."
Medieval: stuck at "Connecting to game server. Select to cancel and disable online play."

This issue has affected every game.

The server team are working to bring them back up - we really do apologize for the recent downtime. We will have the server back up as soon as we can.

It sounds like it was a big one. Thanks to all involved for fixing it.

For second day running am unable to play tournament games at al ldue to login error. This needs urgent fixing.

Getting authenication error again tonight! Is a permanent fix in the works? As it is my tournament games are almost certainly going to be timed out given where we are in game terms and geography, and a lack of working multiplayer service.

There isn't anything to permanently fix. You get this message if the server is down.

It is up now, so if you are still getting the message please email support@slitherine.co.uk in case the server really doesn't like your setup.
