Re: Scenario Package for Akkulas Modern Conflicts 1.95
My campaign starts with the conquest of Beitang in 1937, the second scenario continues with the storming of Langfang and so on.
The campaign is working, currently working on mission 2, the briefings, comments and orders will be revised properly afterwards, at the moment I'm just writing a simple text. War of the Engines

Japanese company is fine but it is better to create a new topic to avoid confusion when the time comes for a modern Asian company when our Argentinian friend returns ))))

Why are Toyota vehicles, civilian ones at that, so popular with various paramilitary groups as platforms for installation of various weapon systems? Simply Toyota has been on the market of "armed civilian vehicles" for 80 years, experience and quality gained over decades ...

That's right, I should actually open a new topic page for this. Only things to do with Modern Conflicts belong here.

Re: Scenario Package for Akkulas Modern Conflicts 1.95
These scenarios look great. Modern Conflicts is the sole reason why I still have PzC installed on my PC. Time to boot it up again.
As an idea, could you perhaps include a definitive list of scenarios for each pack and what side we are supposed to play as in the first page?

I have to smile now, I deleted the description of the scenarios because I thought no one would read them.
Ok, I'll add them back in. It'll take me a few days.

What can we say we have achieved in these all additional scenario missions to be able to pass these maps for both sides at 95-99% !

Re: Scenario Package for Akkulas Modern Conflicts 1.95
Tobi72 - can you make Battle of Vukovar scenario ? It was huge battle during Croatian Homeland War 1991-1995. Siege that lasted for 87 days, the battle started on 25th of August 1991. and ended on November 18th. One side should be Yugoslav People's Army and Serbian irregulars (Teritorial defence) and on other side HV (Hrvatska vojska - Croatian army) with Police and HOS (Croatian Defence Forces not to be confused with HOS during WW2 - which stood for Croatian Armed Forces).
Serbs should dominate in numbers, but their initiative, which in this case could be some kind of morale indicator, should be lower than Croatians. Croatians should have no airforce, but solid AA and a lot of RPG/Ambrust AT teams.
If you need any other info, feel free to ask me

Re: Scenario Package for Akkulas Modern Conflicts 1.95
But I would have to postpone this mission to the present time. Neither Croatian nor Serbian units are available in ModernConflicts for 1991. Croatia only from 2020, for example.
You can give me a list or information about the weapons that were used there. Then maps of the course of the battle. I will look at them and think about what can be done.

Re: Scenario Package for Akkulas Modern Conflicts 1.95
Infrantry weapons that both sides used were mostly AK-47, for anti-tank fight various versions of RPG's. We also had some AT-3 Saggers, known as "Maljutka".Tobi72 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 8:27 am But I would have to postpone this mission to the present time. For armed forces, Yugoslav army had various tanks like T-34/85, T-55, T-72 (here we call it M-84, but it's the same). BMP - 1, BMP - 2, BRDM 1 and 2. I think all these units are already present in MC

Croatia also had some tanks, not more than five in Vukovar, mostly captured.
As for aircrafts - Serbian side used J-22, G-4 and MiG-21. In one attack they also used MiG-29.
Croatia didn't have aircrafts, only AA defense. Usually SA-7 Grail.

Ok, I already have an idea how to work around the time frame. I'll try to include it in Pack 5, but only after my vacation.

No problem, take as much time as you need

I have some interesting idea I will represent to you regarding units, since the battle itself wasn't exactly equal given the number of soldiers on both sides...

Re: Scenario Package for Akkulas Modern Conflicts 1.95
Maybe that posting so many images not related to the panzer corps content is not a good idea...
Anyway, I'm slowly trying Tobi72's map pack ; and even if most scenarios are greatly crafted, I have a few suggestion (other than the ones discussed in PM) about the second pack :
- Scripts for the "Ibar" scenario requieres the Albanian/NATO player to lose ground to receive it's reinforcment. I was forced to make a second game to allow a light serbian unit going through my defenses to have the albanian units needed to hold Mitrovici. My first game consisted of holding the line for 25ish turns before realizing that no reinforcment will come. What about a simple timer before reinforcment ?
- Morning glory is one day per turn. It's not a big problem, but it was obviously designed to be one hour per turn.
- Operation Escobar (maybe it's from the 1st pack, I'm not sure) has a lone syrian MG infantry unit siding with the Western forces. And I'm sure these boys are not designed to be rebels.
Other than that, map pack 1 and 2 cointain many very good / excellent scenario.
- Narwa is classic but intense ;
- Operation Escobar has two different phases with the SF landing then the big traditionnal assault toward a main objective that we find in most panzer corps campaign ;
- Hama has four intense operations to lead simultaniusly : main advance with the Russian forces ; syrian units to cover the Eastern flank ; defend the surrounded Hama ; send paratrooper across the map to reinforce Hama ;
- the "ukrainian campaign" offer various situations, often on the same map, giving a feeling that a real battle is happening ;
- ...
Still two pack to discover
I'll make a pause to make my own scenarii XD
Edit : oh, and moving minefields are also a little problem. In the mission of the ukrainian campaign where the russian units are retreating, even minefields can be seen "jumping" on a truck and retreating. Same on the Hama scenario, where I have saw a SDF minefield going away in a truck
I guess you accidentaly gave them transports ; and when the script tell them to retreats, they do like everyone else.
