Div A

Deeter (Carthaginian) defeated Oscarios (Samnite) 40 - 12

The Samnites brought lots of superior types and few filler troops and advanced on the Punics who anchored their left on some woods which were filled with various mediums. These were able to sweep around the Samnite right to win the day. Good game!

(I am not posting tables for Divisions A or B because few games have been completed).
I believe the names on the right table are mixed up (not sure about the left) because it has me scoring points against two players I did not play with yet and none against players I did. I am guessing the name order was wrongly sorted with the left table, but not the points.

Div C

alexmike1 Seleucid 166-125 + Parthian 250 BC - 225 AD allies beat Antivirt Roman 105-25BC 47-9

The Romans look to have maxed out on legionaries. The red Roman wall stood atop a low rise. However, the outnumbered Roman cavalry struggled to catch the Parthian horse archers and the Seleucid infantry and supporting cataphracts were then a touch lucky to get the upper hand in the main battle line clash.

Thanks again for the game.

alexmike1 Seleucid 166-125 + Parthian 250 BC - 225 AD allies beat Rob123 Roman 199-106 + Numidian or Moorish 46-18

I had some luck with my horse archers on the Seleucid left flank. In particular one light horse rampaged halfway across the battlefield in one turn, routing 4 opposition lights in the process. This left the Roman cavalry unsupported and put the Romans on the back foot from early on.

Division 3 or Division C

Chris Townsend's Graeco-Bactrians defeated Rockmanbob123's Bosphoran w/Samatian allies 61 to 52.

On a vary open battlefield, both sides opted for a strong cavalry force, with a small body of infantry in the little bit of favourable terrain on each right. The initial phase of the battle saw the Graeco-Bactrians throwing individual cavalry units at the advancing Bosphoran infantry in a futile attempt to slow it down. Meanwhile the Bosphorans refused their left wing cavalry before turning to engage the pursuing Graeco-Bactrian cavalry on an axis almost perpendicular to the original fronts. This became a drawn out battle as the superior Bosphoran noble cavalry fought stoically until they reached autobreak (at about 60% casualties). The key to breaking the line, together with some of the supporting Bosphoran infantry was the arrival of the one Graeco-Bactrian elephant that had survived the march from Asia (together with a little supporting infantry and archers).

Good game!

Nosferatu (Mountain Indian) defeats SawyerK (Carthage Hannibal in Italy 216)

Carthaginians attempted to minimize archery losses by boxing in to a narrow front, but as their melee got underway, a few Indian troops held them up longer then expected, allowing enough time for the numerous Indians to surround them.

alexmike1 Seleucid 166-125 + Parthian 250 BC - 225 AD allies beat Bagatrix1805 Macedonian 260-148 + Greek 227-146 allies 55-29

The Macedonians had the larger phalanx, but the Parthian horse archers on the Seleucid right managed to turn the opposing flank quicker than the Greek allies on the Macedonian right. That usually decides these successor battles and that was the case here. Good game, thanks.
