Thunder echoes on the horizon, and distant voices whisper in the air… The storms of war are rising.
For centuries, the world has remained in balance and its people at peace. But change is coming. The magical weave has been torn apart, and the world now teeters on the brink of ruin.
Who will restore balance and forge a new destiny?
The clock is ticking: something is about to be revealed tomorrow at 4:00 PM CET.
If this is a game that a Heroes of Might and Magic type experience (and it seems to be exactly this looking at the background), then you've got me interested immediately! My only concern overall is giving it a solid visual style, as the previously revealed Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era that has an art style like a cheap mobile game that I can't get over. I'd be happy to see more titles like this, but hopefully with stylized solid visuals. It does not even have to be a massive budget, just hand-drawn and not sparkly high-fantasy.
EDIT - and now with the Steam page active I'm afraid there's work to be done on the art style.
Good: Environments and all things on the maps, be it resources, structures or effects look superb and very easy to tell apart. I'm not 100% sold on the colors and contrast, but that might just be a case of these being static early screens.
Decent: Battlefield should be enlarged, there is not real reason to waste so much space on both top and bottom of the screen with either UI, or background details. Instead it could allow for the units to be larger.
Bad: The thick sharp frames on units and their overall designs feel like a generic mobile game. Don't get me wrong, some of the concepts are very cool, but compared to slick art style of Heroes of Might and Magic, especially parts 2 and 3, these don't look good at all.
Ugly: Town screens are beyond saving unless these are early concept art. It's "Mobile Clicker number 123" right now and contrasts sharply with the beautiful adventure map and battlefields.
