Panzer Corps 3 - ideas, wishlist
I know we are probably still (too) far away, but let's discuss. What would you like to see in PC3 ?

Political and Situational Environment:
I would like to see the various National-Leaders regularly commenting by making known their "Opinions"... their "Ambitions"... their "Situational-Progress-Reports"... their "Communications with other Leaders"... and all of that... in-order... to get more fully immersed into the "Historical-Atmosphere" of that point or period in time. To make the Game feel and seem "more-real!".
If at-all-possible... to even have spoken-voice Introductions or narrations... to introduce the Scenario or Campaign. We could even have excerpts from speeches of the various leaders included in the Game as well. These "Voice" commentaries could be manually deactivated by the "Players-Discretion"... if they so choose to do so.
What about also including some "Historical-Video-Clips" like was done in "Panzer General"... that would definitely create a better-mood for the Game.
Before a segment of the Campaign begins... i would like to see a Pictorial Illustration(s)
of what the "Mission-Plan" is with details of the Main and Secondary Objectives included... and why these targets are considered important.

Better AI. Using Recon abilities better, using usefull reinforcements with prestige, playing more tactical
And maybe smaller scale armies.
Right now, you are the one (i.e.) to capture kiev during barbarossa. but there would be much more options if you are just part of an army. like in again i.e. Heaquarters.
if the game sticks with the current setting i would love more customisations, more awards, more heros , more challenges, more levers for challenges.
lack of new content excluded (i would love to see way more dlcs...) pc2 is a nearly perfect game for me.

These are some good suggestions, but with them we are entering more of a "Strategic Command" territory rather than Panzer Corps one.Retributarr wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 6:02 pm Political and Situational Environment:

1. All in on the votes for better AI. It should be able to operate with more smarts, not just moving units in specific turn order and a few scripts. It should be able to try and execute encirclements, force surrenders, focus fire units and use its heroes correctly. This should ideally be tied to difficulty so it is no longer just about giving the AI more accuracy and taking prestige from the player.
2. Expanding on the concept of core clots, limited stock and prestige cost to better represent equipment produced in small numbers, prototypes and such and to also further give players a reason, or perhaps even the need, to not just deploy only the best things on mass. Tigers should be a luxury for special occasions, not a mass-produced thing.
3. Make ammo and fuel more relevant again, not just when some traits are selected.
4. Review the unit stats and redesign some of them, by not having thing like pioneers being the infantry of choice, some units having incorrect movement types and other clear incorrect data (not talking about small preferential stuff, just things like tracked vehicles with wheeled movement assigned).
5. Expand on the traits and abilities, by making them less powerful and not so easy to combine into delay power stacks, yet useful for various situations and make units stand out more one from the other.
6. Add more terrain and weather features akin to escarpments and sandstorms in Cyrenaica.
7. Have more varied and interesting objectives not only in DLC, but already commonly used in the base game.
And finally...
8. Release only once naval combat has been totally redesigned, so it is no longer a blocker for campaigns, but rather a fun new expansion of existing systems.
That said, the series does not need a third installment anytime soon, part 2 has still tons of untapped potential.

Even if this would entail some "Similarity" to another Game... i still think that it is of the 'Utmost-Importance' or 'More-Important'... to get the WW2-Immersion and Historical-Mindset into the "Players-Psyche" in order for them to feel that this Game is a 'real part of history'... or as real as it can possibly be... and that its 'Not-Just-A-Standard-Cookie Cutter-Game'.PanzerCro wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 9:16 pmThese are some good suggestions, but with them we are entering more of a "Strategic Command" territory rather than Panzer Corps one.Retributarr wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 6:02 pm Political and Situational Environment:

What I want for Panzer Corps 3 is for Slitherine to advertise the game more than they already do. Advertisement for PZC and it's DLC's are like non-existent
Re: Panzer Corps 3 - ideas, wishlist
Campaigns for the Allies and the Soviets.
I'm not sure I'd buy 3 though, because 2 feels unfinished for lacking these campaigns, in no small part due to time spent on Pacific IMHO.
And tbh, I'm bored of German campaigns at this point.

Agree totally. Just - if we're talking PzC2 still, not hypothetical part 3 - right now this could affect existing content quite a bit. Maybe a solution could be to use specifc data files per cam, though I dunno if that actually works for DLCs.Tassadar wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 10:37 pm 4. Same here again. IMO something like limited slots is a nice idea, zeroslots is OP. One idea could be to gain a slot -1 guy, who could improve up to a certain capped value, like -3 max, over time. Similar for other hero types.5. Re: Panzer Corps 3 - ideas, wishlist
I totally agree. I would prefer a panzer corps 2 2.0 instead of a new game. The game is already really good but could be even better.
First of all the game really needs an AI that is not only focussed on prestige. At least it should have some strategic thinking, if the AI has to defend it should defend. And dont attack with super entrenched units for no reason and giving up good positions just to damage an artillery or something like that.
I would like to see more ressources than prestige. Fuel could be thing, also soldiers. Makes no sense to buy 10 tanks if you cant man them. The limited stock feature comes into play with that, it should be far more specific.
Heroes should not be able to break the whole game balance. I fine with the super heroes you can get in the game. They should be very powerful. The heroes you get after every maps should be more specific and work like a crew, not like heroes to make your units slightly stronger.
Maps/briefing: I still want a map before any scenario. Its getting better in the actual DLCs.
The whole campaign could be a bit more dynamic. I dont want to safe all my ship in sealion just to read in the debriefing, that I lost my fleet

Experience should be more important and harder to get. There should be something between repair and elite repair.
The attacksystem need some revision. I dont like that units get completly useless at some point. Or generally speaking if attack < defense you cant do any damage. Thats not good and not realistic. Doesnt matter how strong a units is, even a Spitfire I could kill a Me262 for example.
Small army reboots. The biggest problem >1944 is you have nothing to mange anymore. Everything is 5 star and full of hereos. I would appreciate some forced reboot, like in Kursk, when you have to send some of your core units to italy. Right now you only have the prestige sinks.

I'd say just set those ships in Brighton Beach scenario to ally and script to aggressively attack. Problem solved, just like how it was executed later in AO46.DefiantXYX wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 2:32 pm

Did not work for me. I lost the Yamato for absolutly no reason. Its even more ridiculous if you get scripted messages "we are under attack" that have nothing to do with the actual going on the map. Or the whole mission is just stupid. I dont need japense ships to sacrifice for no reason, while I am overrunning everything.VirgilInTheSKY wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 6:27 pm

Thats something I dont want to see in 2026 or even later. We have AI and stuff, so games should be far more intelligent and react on actions of the player.

Problem with the Yamato is that the event was set too late. Move it to turn 3 or 4 and everything will be fine. No way you can destroy the forts at that time without cheating.DefiantXYX wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 8:20 amDid not work for me. I lost the Yamato for absolutly no reason. Yes, but why would you attack these forts? Makes absolutly no sense to get into range. This is just bad map- and mission design, which you can unfortunately say for almost any part of 1945 AH and 1946.VirgilInTheSKY wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 3:29 pm Problem with the Yamato is that the event was set too late.
