Yes, when moving fast I think long range shooting should have a heavier accuracy penalty, do less suppression and have fewer, less accurate opfire opportunities. Vice versa when 'hunting', this is WWII afterall.jomni wrote:Moving already has a chance to hit penalty. Are you suggesting a heavier accuracy penalty?
I guess we don't notice this because while moving you lessen the range which results into better accuracy.
Hunt is useful but it prevents you from doing shoot and scoot which can lead to the unit's death in the next turn.
I still think making opfire more frequent will be a good counter to shoot and scoot.
I played a couple of Clash of Armour games as the Germans yesterday and I am starting to think there is a difference between Allied and Axis opfire opportunities, with the Allies opfiring much more frequently. I had one situation where PzIVs and Marders and Panthers were facing off against Shermans and M36s and M18s, identical ranges and facings, yet over the course of a couple turns it became quite apparent the Allied tanks were opfiring much more often, even after firing themselves in their turn whereas the German tanks most often didn't. Not quite sure what to make of that.
