Wish List (for next significant update)

Good idea.cptkremmen wrote: About the only thing i would seriously like to enhance is the ability for fan created multiplayer scenarios to be uploaded somewhere where they can easily be accessed by all. I would doubt this is too difficult to do, and would involve little actual coding changes to the program, mostly just supplying and administering a central file location
Andy
Also, a few others:
The MP scenarios available now are of the Meeting Engagement/equal forces variety. There's little incentive to stick one's nose out and attack. Based on the four I'm engaged in everyone tiptoes around. The resemblance to an actual battle becomes incidental. How about some onus on the attacker to capture flags? Attack/defend scenarios can still be balanced.
Also, is it possible to pre-load or buffer one's opponent's turn so the movie isn't so logy?
And a preview of the map would, I believe, be desirable. Some guys have a dozen games going on and have got the things memorized.
Hard to post a wish list as it sounds like you are complaining about a great game
As posted before the ability to deploy smoke, deployable Barbed wire, tank traps and mines (which have a points value). Flail tank would be nice. As stated in another thread the abilty for infantry to take cover. Recon air missions. Again as stated in another thread Dynamic campaigns would be great. (Squadron/Company with support picks). .

I agree with you wholeheartedly on limited movement(1-2 squares) with mg and mortar teams. I m a former US Marine and will never forget those 30km humps carrying the mortar base plate. Shoot and scoot!childress wrote:OK, I'll get his started. In order of desirability, off the top of my head.
1- Some movement capability- and animations- for MG and Mortar teams. Small arty pieces, like 37m, can be moved one square.
2- Additional protection for inf inside buildings and pillboxes.
3- 6 soldiers per German squad,7 for Allied. Plus fire power adjustment for the additional man.
4- Opfire tweaks.
5- Tank riders. Esp useful for bringing up reinforcements.
Anyone with some others?
I would also like to see larger squads, althought Im not sure what would be best. Maybe making them all 8-12 men to fully represent an infantry squad? At the very least bump it up to six - 5 or 6 squads would equal a platoon then.
Besides adding a new country, like the Soviets, I would love to see lots of new and bigger multiplayer maps. New units for all countries would also be nice.
I also would like to see a force pool so players can choose what units to bring to battle on multiplayer maps. That would add another layer to the game and keep your opponent guessing...

Better yet, Rhino tanks which where used to bust German hedgerow defences. If there existed a simulation of hedgerow battles in BA, in fact, the hedges are now just barriers. Your typical grog may want this but it may be beyond the scope of the game. But it's such a great platform and so much more can be done.Smirfy wrote:Hard to post a wish list as it sounds like you are complaining about a great game

I got killed that way at least once recently like that...SailingGuy wrote:I like the idea of reverse movement, although I have shown my rear to the enemyMelnibone wrote:A Reverse move for vehicles would be great. Currently shoot and scoot is a move forward - turn around and move the other way. I don't want to show my rear to the enemy!on many, many occasions and have never been shot at.
I'm also for movements for mortars / MG. There's no reason they can't move at least 2 tiles a turn.
